Crocheted Scarves and Cowls: 35 colourful and contemporary crochet patterns Paperback – 11 Oct. 2016

I have started my first scarf ready for winter. So projects are a little difficult but looking forward to conqering them.

I love this book, it is a sheer delight and am so glad I opted for the paperback. The whole thing is beautifully presented, there are patterns for all abilities and as a very new beginner was happy to find several I could aspire to with a few basic stitches. All the designs are well illustrated in colour with close ups of the individual patterns. At the start there are clear pictures showing formation of the basic stitches as well as how to add beads and other adornments. The use of colour is an inspiration in itself.

I have made several scarves and cowls from this book, including the one on the cover (only I added mini pompoms to the ends of the scarf as I felt it needed a bit of finishing off). The patterns are modern and fun, very easy instructions (you can put your own twist on them) and beautiful pictures. The yarns are also easy to substitute. They are feminine patterns I would say, the only exception being rock pool scarf which is a bit more masculine. Very happy with this book

I love these designs - would love to work most of them. Just feel that the instructions for the Sunshower scarf are not quite right - worked when I didn't miss two stitches just next to the three half trebles at the top of the chevron. Otherwise 5 stars for sure.

I believed the description of the Samphire Scarf as every row different, so was a bit disappointed to find it a 12-row repeat with only the ends different. However, it offers a real variety of scarves, mostly very appealing.

Am reasonably new to crochet ,this book looks inspirational.Beautiful colour photos,and projects have skill ratings .

Good booklet, very informative and easy to follow.
