I didn't need this for my iPhone SE 1st generation
I discovered that I don't need this adapter for my iPhone SE 1st generation, the retro phone handset plugs right into the earphones portal without the need for an adapter, just fyi, save your money! Also, the handset comes with an adapter in the box, so that one may work for you, also.

I tried using a cheaper version but it wouldn’t work. Nice that they have they’re own…but really? Give me the option to buy it with the device.
