Nooelec ADS-B Discovery 5dBi (High Gain) Antenna Bundle - 1090MHz & 978MHz Antenna Bundle for SMA and MCX-Connected Software Defined Radios (SDRs)

Using the 1090MHz antenna with an SDR and Raspberry Pi in an upstairs bedroom, I can pick up ADS-B transmissions from just over 100nm away.

After trying for a couple of months, I have seen an increase in signals/reports from aircraft compared to my wideband scanner antenna I had been using.

Improved the number of aircraft seen by about 160% compared to the standard stick aerial (even when this was mounted on a good ground plane).

Complete garbage, normal whip 62 aircraft upto 75 miles, this aerial 2 aircraft as they flew VERY close to the house.....returning!

These antennas do work, fairly well. They aren't the best of the best, but for their price, they are really quite good. They are perfect for a small raspberry Pi or something along those lines. Their range is good for the price.They are exactly what one would expect at that price.

Works great! Much better than having long cables all tangled up. Gets much better reception than the cheap collapsible antennas.
