I loved these cups when I got them. They seemed perfect. However, after only a dozen or so uses, one of them cracked near the handle. Shortly after that, the other one cracked in the same place. These cups have not been abused in any way. They were hand washed each time and never saw the inside of the dishwasher. I never dropped them. There is no apparent reason they should have cracked. And as a result of the crack, conensation has gotten between the walls.++++++IMPORTANT UPDATE The company contacted me and offered to replace the cups free of charge or refund my money. As I said earlier, I loved these cups when I got them. They are beautiful and the coffee looks amazing in them. So, when faced with the decision to replace or refund, of course I chose replace. I am happy to give the product another chance.

I wanted to use these for six weeks, so I could review it honestly. I can heat water up in the cups in the microwave on high for three minutes allowing the water to boil. It’s cool to the touch to handle. I’ve burnt myself with other cups and it’s not fun. The outside is cool, and it has not left any scald marks on any of my end tables and I don’t put these on coasters. I’d still recommend using a coaster if you’re putting it on an heirloom piece, or if you’re lucky enough to have your home furnished with Ethan Allen. The cups rinse with ease, and I’ve also put them in the dishwasher. They seem to be holding up well, and I’d buy them again. I think the set of four would also make for a nice housewarming gift that would actually get used.

I really liked these cups when I got them, very lightweight and pretty. One had a couple small imperfections in the glass thag I was just gonna overlook, but after not even 3 days of use, handwash only, there are cracks in the glass near the handle. I'm very disappointed.Edit to add: shatter supper easily NOT durable at ALL... neither survived a 8 in drop by my clumsy-by-nature 3 year old, who always has to finish my cup of tea. I will say, the seller contacted me asking if I would like a replacement or a full refund. So that is appreciated, but as fragile as they were, though very pretty, I opted for the refund.

Gave this as a gift along with some specialty coffee. Then bought one for me too. It keeps coffee hot longer and can go in the microwave if you do need to warm it up. No more cold coffee before I am done drinking it.

I previously purchased 4 double-walled glass mugs from another vendor and paid more for them. 3 of the 4 developed the infamous condensation issue and I threw them away. Perhaps the dishwasher caused the problem. I purchased 4 of these and have been very pleased. They are a bit heavier and larger but provide a comfortable amount of room for a 10 oz. hot liquid with cream. I learned my lesson and only handwash these, covering the blow hole on the bottom with my finger while doing so then drying the bottom. Is that that a lot of trouble? Yeah, but the home coffee experience should be special. These mugs are a good value.
