It's very sensitive to certain tones and will turn off and on to the sound of my husbands voice, which we find hilarious! However, clapping doesn't always work to turn it on, depends on the tone you make I guess. It's very pricey for what it does, but it delivers what it says it will.

works well for those hard to reach lamps. But. if any sound is almost the same 3 times in a row it will trigger these to turn off or on like a dog barking, knock at the door, even someone laughing. So that can be annoying/amusing.

And I needed a way to have my light on. I remembered the old commercial clap on clap off and whet to look for one. This works great. My only problem is when my dogs bark they can turn it on and of by barking three times… lol thank you Laura

Doesn’t work well across a room unless u kill your hands clapping very loudly

We live in the basement apt and the switch is upstairs. Without having to put in another switch, this has made it easy peasy to turn on and off. I will definitely purchase another when this burns out!!
