Excellent buy Love Love Love it
Excellent product ao happy with it, been meaning to get one for ages and thought what the hell, great to clean my can without dragging main hoover out and fantastic for stairs again saves dragging the hoover about, so pleased with it and easy and lightweight to use, already asking the dogs to malt more, great for nooks and crannys too and corners of rooms with attachments, wish I had bought it a year ago

Powerful, effective, great design and clear instructions.
It comes with a set of easily switched tools to help you get into nooks and corners and a dustbusting tool specially for fragile things. Also has the best, clearest little instruction book I have seen in years and years. It is making day to day cleaning much easier and another bonus is that it picks up pet hair much more effectively than my full size hoover.

Best Handheld Rechargeable Vacuum for a Narrowboat
The Gtech Multi MK2 K9 is the second handheld vacuum we've owned and used for all cleaning duties aboard our 53-foot narrowboat home. It replaces a Dyson DC34 'Animal' -- the only other handheld I can compare it to (and which I quickly became disillusioned with). After a month's use, the Gtech turns out to be a robust and powerful tool that cleans our floors and carpets well, and easily picks up the sort of dust and ash (from the solid fuel stove) you get on an inland waterways vessel. Because the diameter of its pipes and tools are larger than the Dyson, it's able to pick up things like leaves and the occasional clump of dried mud off the floor that the more lightweight Dyson couldn't handle. The Gtech seems more like a proper 'hoover' in this respect than the Dyson. It also has an extension tube for reaching higher up things like the tops of curtain rails and the ceiling. The Gtech is also more robustly built. It's tools simply slip on and off -- held by friction -- and the canister just snaps in and out for emptying. I like this simple, 'mechanical' approach to design. In contrast, the Dyson has fine, plasticy and fragile clips, 'levers' and holding buttons that are finicky to use and break easily unless you are very careful with them. If they do break, you can only replace the entire module at very high cost.Powerwise, I think the Dyson has slightly more suction in picking up dust in one spot but, as I said above, the Gtech can pick up larger chunks of stuff, which is ultimately more useful.I've only had the Gtech for over a month, so can't comment on longevity. That will be the ultimate test.I did have problems with the Dyson Main Body Assembly (the 'trigger handle' and electronics module) ceasing to work after less than 20 hours use -- and the run-around I experienced with Dyson customer services and the many email exchanges over many months to get it replaced was unsatisfactory.A really simple thing on the Gtech that I love is the headlight. There's lots of dim nooks and crannies in a narrowboat and a little focused light is really helpful. It also has a 6-inch crevice tool stored in the handle, which is handy to pull out, stick on and use when needed. The Gtech weighs a bit more than the Dyson, but I think this is its strength -- this makes it stronger, simpler to use and pick up more stuff. What more do you want?

From a robovac user - this is a perfect companion!
Who would have thought when I first opened my Amazon account - I’d be writing reviews about hoovers!! This is now my 3rd hoover review!! 🤣🤣🤣😱😱😱I’ve got a robovac that does the vast majority of my house, but there are always bits where that can’t reach (stairs are the obvious point, as well as all the small crevices in the skirting board and nooks and crannies - as well as the car).I was initially put onto this hoover by my Nan who had one and raved about it - whilst I raved about my robo hoover (sad lives we live I know!). After I lent her my robo hoover she was convinced and I bought her one, and after she lent me this Gtech I was also convinced and bought one!!This is not a replacement for a full sized hoover - I’d say this is complimentary. It does all the little things you don’t want to get a big hoover out for - or in my case the things a robo hoover can’t do.This is great for the stairs with the powered attachment, I mean absolutely fantastic! We have two sets of stairs in my house (3 floors) and this managed both sets with the powered attachment and also with the crevice tool to really get into the nooks - with battery to spare to clean our mid sized SUV - which it got 3/4” of the way round before the battery ran out.The battery lasts for roughly 20 minutes (on a four hour charge), which may seem not a lot of time for the amount it took to charge, but as I said, you won’t be hoovering the entire house with this - you’ll be doing the odd bit of hoovering here and there, and using it for the stairs and the like. You need to be careful where you pull when you change attachments, as in the instruction manual it tells you to hold by the handle and pull the entire suction head off - I’m not the strongest guy, but I managed to pull so hard it pulled the led light section and electric powered section clean off - pulling out the wires in the process. 😱😱😱Luckily I’m quite handy and was able to take 3 screws out (2 under the dust cartridge) and one underneath the power button (this now has a small crack in it as I had to prise it out). But I was able to reattach the wires and it’s working perfectly fine again!Luckily if I couldn’t fix it - a replacement body (basically everything except the powered head, tools, dust cartridge & battery) runs quite cheaply and is only roughly £40 to replace. There is no ‘charging base’ just a cable you plug into the battery (which can be charged whilst in the hoover or separately on its own). This is a plus point or a negative depending on how you look at it - I quite like the fact there is no base and you can charge it easily without having to find another space for something to be out permanently. As the battery is removable - if you want to extend the life of your hoover between the 4 hour charge, you can obviously buy a second (or third) battery that is all ready charged waiting for use, whilst you charge the original one. This comes with a decent number of attachments, but if you have a 3D printer (or know someone who has one) there are a multitude of extra nozzles that can be made for even more specific uses. One slightly bad point, the included cartridge filters are a bit weird smelling. Also - included in the box is a 50% voucher for the car kit, so worth waiting to get this and then get the car kit at a later date - saving some money!Even with the slight issue whereby my superior strength broke mine (easy-ish fix though - or cheapish replacement part) and the weird smell - I would definitely recommend this cordless battery powered hoover as a companion to either a regular plug in hoover or a robovac!!

Well worth it
I have to say there are some thing that you buy on here, and you are disappointed with the quality... and others that you think - "why didn't I buy this sooner". This is definitely the latter. I have had it about a month, and loving it. It looks modern, works like a dream, and is easy to use. It is almost better than my main vacuum cleaner, but I use it mainly to clean the bed after our dog has been dropping hirs there, and the insider of the car. It charges quickly, and the attachments are just what you need. My wife doesn't like the lavender smell, but I do... so there you go! A top buy
