I love the way this product makes my hair feel and look! I have been getting more compliments and I love the way my head and scalp feel! I love the fact it is organic and has no harsh chemicals in it. I have a sensitive head and I need products that won't irritate my scalp and skin and this does a great job of being gentle yet effective! The smell is rather light but refreshing. It does take a little bit to work it around in your hair and hands and it doesn't lather in the way that I am used to (from using the mainstream toxic chemical products) but that is a small price to pay to avoid chemically burning your scalp. I had used Tresemmé prior to this and it made my hair start falling out. I got this as a way to help strengthen and regrow hair because I am familiar with the benefits of the ingredients in this. I only use natural products in and on my body now. I learned my lesson the hard way a few times over. My only real complaint is that you cannot tell the shampoo and conditioner apart. There is no identifying marks and they are the same color and same size and smell exactly the same. I wish there was maybe an "S" and a "C" carved into the bars but I just did it myself. Some days I question if I did the right ones because the lather is about the same for both with shampoo being a tad bit more but you don't really notice until you get to work on it for a few minutes. I have mixed them up so many times, it got kind of frustrating. But small price to pay for healthy care. A minor inconvenience really. And even if I am using them in reverse, it is still doing a great job cleaning my hair. I let my natural oil build up for a couple days. I don't want to strip my hair of it's healthy oils so I do not wash it everyday and these products do a good job keeping my hair looking clean in between washings. I had also bough the "Fugly" Turmeric Soap bars by the same company which I am mostly pretty happy with with as well (see my review on that for more information). I really love how the shampoo and conditioner does not use any plastic and has really seemed to last quite some time with three people using it and the bar size has barely shrunk. Happy camper here! Would recommend and I plan on trying other products by this company! I think I am a lifelong customer now!

I don't normally bother writing reviews, but this product deserves the time. I cannot be happier that I purchased this shampoo and conditioner bar (I got the lemongrass and sweet orange scent). A couple notes for context: 1) I have waist-long wavy brown European hair. If you have a different texture or hair needs, take my review with a grain of salt. 2) My hair has been "off" sulphates, parabens, silicones, etc for over a year. So, if you do not used natural products, you will need to do some research into the hair detox process which can take a couple months. Your scalp will be over producing oil for a while until it calms down and gets used to gentler products. It's necessary but kind of annoying, and more importantly, not the products fault. Your scalp will do it regardless of if it is this shampoo bar are someone else's. 3) I have run the gambit of crunchy granola hair routines, and am tired of smelling like salad dressing. If you don't know, don't ask. Sometimes a girl just wants to smell lightly of flowers, rainbows, and sunshine. Is that too much to ask? 4) I have very sensitive... everything. Eczema, strong sense of smell, sensitive skin/scalp, you name it. So, things may smell good, but it can't be too much of a good thing if you know what I mean. Anyway, addressing context #1, my hair texture gets a bit wack being so long and not fully curly. If I don't get enough moisture my hair falls flat in some places, but curls in others. So, I have a visual cue for my hair health. This bar combination isn't entirely moisturizing enough for my hair on its own to be entirely honest, but I am consistently getting a healthy shine and waves that last longer than they have before. The trick is that I sparingly scrunch a couple drops of olive oil into my ends while my hair is damp, and then all of my curls coil right up. However, I have not had ANY build up, which has been the bane of my shampoo bar journey, so that is the main reason I am really ecstatic. Interestingly, the red is starting to shine a bit more in my hair. My hair has a bunch of different colors, naturally occurring, and different products bring out different colors. So, right now my hair is more of an auburn brown due to these products. I haven't had a dry scalp issue in the couple of weeks I have used this product. I only wash my hair one to two times a week, partially because there is simply so much of it, partially because my scalp doesn't really need it. If my scalp gets dry, I simply get the smallest drop of olive oil on my finger tips and give my scalp a thorough massage. The scent is beautiful. Honestly, didn't think I missed pretty smelling bath products until I used this. It can seem a bit strong in the shower, but after rinsing off I only smell it if I am actively sniffing my hair. Which I recommend with this stuff. The smell is a clean citrus, but the lemon grass makes the smell a bit more complex and almost musky. For those with any prior experience with shampoo bars, this one will make a wonderful lather, without sulphates. And neither the shampoo nor conditioner requires a lot of work to get the product to dissolve in the water. I actually rub it directly in my hair, and it distributes evenly. Make sure you get all of the product out, however. It took me some getting used to to figure out what it felt like to be rinsed out fully. As long as this company maintains this formula, they have got a loyal customer. I'm am more than pleased. I will try to get a photo in here at some point, but it is exactly like the pictures. The shampoo bar is more of a bright yellow and the conditioner is a deeper yellow. I have to remember that since there is no way to mark them.

I was losing handfuls of my baby fine hair and tried a half dozen natural shampoos that did not improve the itchiness or my hair loss. Then I got sick and was unable to wash my hair for several weeks. I found and ordered this shampoo & conditioner, the lemongrass and sweet orange one because my hair was so greasy. It worked great cutting through the toxic oils and grease and lathered up easily. The scent was strong in the shower but faded to a mild scent when my hair was dry. The shampoo & conditioner leaves my hair feeling thicker, and shines beatifully. The hair loss has decreased significantly and my scalp no longer itches. And the soap bars Iast a long time. I love it! I just purchased a set of Aspen Kay Shampoo & Conditioner as a gift for a friend. I will soon be ordering the rosemary and mint one scented one to try. The only issue I have is remembering which bar is which. One bar is a cream color and the other an orange cream. I have to test them first to see which one lathers the most in my hands first. I am going to order two different soap holders to help me. I still give 5 stars because the product is the best I have found.

I'm trying to reduce my plastics use which is how I found this product. The soaps come packaged in a cardboard box and are wrapped in paper. The scent is very strong right out of the box - I wasn't sure I could keep them because the it was so overwhelming. But it lessens within a few days, especially after the first use. My hair feels great - I feel like I have more volume than with my old "volume enhancing" shampoos. My only complaint is that its not quite as quick as squeezing out liquid from a plastic shampoo or conditioner bottle. For the ecological benefit, I can definitely live with that. I've had no problem with crumbling or cracking. I keep them in individual mesh bags that hang in my shower and use them inside of the bags. Have had them for over a month now and still very pleased.
