Will this item hold all sizes for ukulele?

It will hold Soprano thru Tenor for sure. Have not tried anything larger than than.Works well for Mandolin also.Width at most narrow part is 1-1/2"

I ordered one and one size fits my one uke, but the other uke is too wide. Is there another holder I could screw in, or another size, or an adaptation

will a 2nd grader's violin fit the twin Violin/Ukulele hanger or should I buy the "small violin" hanger and one for concert ukulele?

Honestly, I don't know. I have three violins but all of them are normal size. My "guess" is that it would probably work but that the pins would be resting on the hanger. However, that's only a guess. If you've got time, and patience, you could try this one. If you're in a hurry or don't want the hassle of a possible return item, then I'd go with the separate hangers.

What is the platform jutting out from the front (or back?) for? (Rosin? For a ukulele?)

I don’t remember ordering or receiving that particular item. If anything I got the one to hang just one ukulele. The item pictured appears to me to be able to hang 2 ukuleles as well as provide a flat area to hold a drink or a phone or tuner or whatever can fit on it without creating instability due to size or weight. That’s all I have. Hope it helps👍😃
