My:" indoor" cat's were drawn to it initially for the warmth. A "Trial" I decided to do first. I mean, it works ok; but I thought it would stay warmer longer? 2-3 hours and it's cold again. Initially, I wanted it for an outdoor kitty, but it certainly wouldn't maintain the heat for that in Pittsburgh, pa.

This pad has been great for our older cat. We heat it for 30 sec, shake it, then heat it for 30 more seconds. It goes in the cat bed under a light throw. The cat has learned the process of heating it and runs for the bed. She is a small cat on a small bed with the heat between a couple of small throws. The pad is still warm hours later when we check it. She is warm and can sleep.We heat it once or twice a day and are careful not to overheat. After a year and 200+ trips to the microwave, we notice that the gel seems to be getting thicker and there is less of it. It does not have a leak, but we think it is losing water from the gel somehow. This has been a very slow process, so maybe there is a way for the water to evaporate when the pad is heated or perhaps the gel changes composition after enough uses. The pad still has gel and works fine, so until it melts or otherwise falls apart, we are thrilled to have it.We have washed the cover but hung it to dry. It has not shrunk and is still soft. Overall, this is a great warming pad. It continues to be a very good value.

this works well for outdoor cats because it holds the heat for 8 or more hours. Must be monitored because once the heat is gone it will get cold and hold the chill

The cover is nice it’s soft it’s nice looking but the cat didn’t like it. Also it does not keep the heat for hours. I was expecting some thing that would last like 6 to 8 hours and it wasn’t up to my expectations.

I’m very pleased with this heating pad. Stays warm for hours and is a nice cushion too. I do put it under a blanket. Be sure to follow the heating instructions carefully!

This pads get heated up in the microwave and will keep kittens, old cats nice and warm, specially when they do not have warm hugs from humans or other animals.I highly recommend this for your own animals and also to donate to a shelter, all you have to do is order and put their address instead of yours (of course you pay for the item) I promise that any shelter will be super thankful and as I see in my point of view, it is only few dollars that will go a super long way.We got few of this to donate to a local cat shelter, sadly several times a years seem to be 'kitten season" in my own words that is "result of irresponsible humans that do not act maturely enough to fix their cats" .I added two photos of one of our cats and a cat that we fostered and ended up staying forever.All in all, this is a great item, I looked for price and this one seemed to be the best here. I super recommend it.Also bad humans when their cats/dogs get old they just leave them at shelters and get new ones, I have no words for that.

I liked and appreciated this product.It was inexpensive and most certainly kept my pet comfortable. It worked well!!!!

They sell this for pet beds, but I bought it for me! It's great to pop it into the microwave for a minute and then put it at the foot of my bed. My feet are always cold, and I can warm up that part of the bed, and then slip my feet under it. It's not large (read the dimensions), so don't count on getting to big feet under it at once. It's soft and comfy. I have used it as a hot pad on other parts of the body instead of a heating pad. Works fine for that, too. Two other things good about it, it's not moist heat and has no scent.

work great but don't stay warm for 12 hours but sure was helpful keeping kittens warm

Nice soft cover and cozy gel pad, but its difficult to warm evenly (you need so push the gel around to mix it after heating every 30 seconds, 4 to 5 times) which is annoying and after that it doesn't stay warm for long.
