32 (6×8) Seedling Trays
Super fast shipping. I'm using these trays to grow citrus seedlings to use for grafting. My germination rates for the seedlings vary according to the varities and condition of the seeds. So, I try to germinate as many seeds as possible. I usually use these trays in my first step to initially sow or plant the seed in the potting mix. When I first started using these trays, I started off with 50 cell 5x10 trays. Those worked well, but I soon needed to repot the growing seedling in bigger containers. I found that I needed to repot the seedling into an intermediate container, before potting into final 4'×14" container. I later found these bigger 32 cell 6×8 trays. Because these new cells are bigger and deeper then the cells on the 5x10 trays, I'm now able to eliminate the intermediate reporting, and go directly into the bigger containers.

Huge cells
32 cell. Wow, these cells ARE huge. It’ll be nice to give my tomato and pepper plants all this room for their roots when the time comes. Flats fit in bootstrap farmer heavy duty trays no problem. The flats are not the thickest or sturdiest but by god the cells are the largest I’ve been able to find so I have no complaints.

Good value for the money
This set is a bit deeper than the previous one we found, so we expect it to allow the plants to grow larger before we have to transplant them.

Nice trays! Keep in mind that you will need flats to set them in.
These seed trays sturdy in the sense that they are made of super thick plastic (which will be great for guaranteeing future re-use), but still not so sturdy that you could have a hand on each end and carry the tray around. However, I have never seen such seed trays like this carried on their own/as-is....they are always nestled into flats that DO provide that ability to walk around with the trays easily. Such flats are not provided in this set. One complaint is that the trays have a super strong scent, which probably is not healthy. I start seeds indoors in a greenhouse shelf that I built; I let the trays sit outside for several days to off-gas before actually using them inside.

Durable, perfect size!
These cells are amazing for starting up some quick seedlings! There are a lot of them, so I ended up using an entire one just for lettuce, and so far, I've gotten an amazing harvest this season so far! I wish that it came with some sort of drainage tray just for indoor planting, but it worked well either way.

Seems like a very sturdy and solid product for seed starting. I'd hesitate to use in full UV given the composition of material. Head mats and lights should enable the product to last for multiple years. Currently in my first year of operation with aforementioned conditions. Solid product. Matches with a 1020 system to water from below. Have yet to transplant from this seed tray just yet but it seems like a simple sharpie poking upwards will do well for that. Would buy again to build out for the home gardener!

They are robust and a good deal cheaper than you might find elsewhere.
