Great lawn tonic and moss killer
Great lawn tonic and moss killer. For best results dilute in water as casting the granules by hand can produce an uneven result. It can also be used throughout the winter when moss is growing vigorously. It also works on dog lichen (which is a horrible flat rubbery type of growth which is dark grey on one side and beige on the other), but rake the stuff out when killed.

Good moss killer
Works well and kills off the moss within hours turning it black. It was a good price and my only complaint is that the container is quite flimsy and broke when I took the lid off

Good results, but completely unsuitable for use in sprayers
Grass looks greener and moss looks blacker, so the product does what it says on the tin. First started seeing results after about 2-3 days. With full effect about 7-10 days later. However, it simply cannot be sprayed. It clogged every sprayer I tried because of small bits of contamination, which block the nozzles. From reading other reviews, this doesn’t appear to be a one-off bad batch, but a fundamental issue with the product. It ruined two different 5L over-shoulder hand-pump sprayers, and I eventually had to throw it on the lawn by hand, which resulted in a slightly patchy finish. Bear this in mind if you’re planning to apply it with a sprayer as the manufacturer suggests. Top tip : Keep this well clear of your patio and stone work! otherwise it will cause rust spots. Think about wet feet/animals spreading it by mistake !

Sloppy product description, but seems to do what it says on the tin (or bucket)
Was a bit skeptical at first. As far as I can tell, ALL the suppliers of this product (Iron Sulphate) on Amazon have just copied and pasted the same product description - even if it didn't apply. Made it very hard to choose which one to use. To this supplier I would say - don't be so lazy. Write you're own ACCURATE product description. It will make you stand out from the rest of the options, and help you sell more product (I know - I'm a marketer by profession). With that out of the way - applied according to the instructions. Product dissolved no problem into my 10 litre watering can. This seemed the easiest way to apply, and it was. Paced out the area I was treating (10m x 1m sections) and walked briskly as I poured. This gave the area the 5g/liter/square metre dose indicated to kill moss. Left overnight, and 95% of the moss has turned black. The rest I put down to having missed during application. I will reapply in two weeks after scarifying. But so far, so good.
