Drawn from Life: Tips and Tricks for Contemporary Life Drawing

This is one in a series of similar booklets that detail various methods and styles for drawing, painting and graphics. I find them useful as a source of inspiration and new ways of visualization. Sometimes you get stuck in the same mode, especially if it is selling. These little books can provide a kick to get you out of a rut.

A friend turned me onto this little gem, and I love it. Lots of great techniques and ideas, and a small size easy to carry along.

Wonderful book with great examples from a variety of artist! Makes me want to get my own sketchbook out and create something new! The author does a great job of expressing the many ideas and concepts that make up the artwork in this book.

Interesting pages with not very useful tips and tricks, basically it's a simple author's introductory view about the artist's work

This author offers great lessons, examples, and inspiration. It is so helpful and interesting to view excellent work with an excellent (and efficient) description of the materials and process for each. Highly recommended.

I love these little (size-wise, not info-wise) books. Easy reads with lots of tips and tricks and new things to try. TONS of illustrations, too.
