I bought this after reading lots of reviews and went in with a cautiously optimistic mind.I’m glad I did, as it’s performed great and synced up great with the apps on my iPhone, iPad, and Max.Did a big photoshoot and my subjects were delighted to see the images flash up on the screen moments after shooting :)

Recommended by a friend, I was sceptical that this would work well in practice. However, combined with the Andoer Dual Hot Shoe and a short right angled USB cable it worked flawlessly over a full day's studio shoot. Images transfer quickly and battery holds its charge very well. I have tried a range of tethering options with my Nikon cameras and this is the first that has worked fast and well. It is a fraction of the price of the Nikon offering and does the job brilliantly. I plan to buy a spare.

Wouldn't work at all. Melted the outer plastic case. Had to return. Ordered another so will update review... Update. I ordered another one. Haven't used it properly just yet but it does seem to do all it says. Have a job in a large room soon so I will update on range after that.

I really want this to work, as the alternative product is so much more expensive and the CamFi would have worked with all the devices I was wanting to use (android phone and ipad). I spent a month trying lots of different fixes (some of which were suggested by the manufacturer) but it just didn't take more than 1 photo without crashing so I gave up and returned it to Amazon.

For the price this is an exellent piece of kit. Easy to set up and use, just connect to you iPad, MacBook or iPhone and take a shot with your camera and it turns up on you device really quite quick. As it uses its own wifi it can be used anywhere great for outdoor shoots.

Great for photos - preview , view, etc. Has latency when camera is moving, would not suggest it to video shooting.

Really clever product and great for bird photography as the camera is left unattended.

I have been trying to use the focus stacking option on the camfi. Can anybody give me any sort of detailed instructions on how to do this? Please!!!

The first thing to do to get started is download an app from Google or Apple or other for the CamFi.Install the App.Next turn your CamFi Unit on and wait for the network light to stay on.Disconnect your pc, or phone, or Ipad from your local network and connect to the CAM NETWORK.Start the CAMFi app on your device.It will start and upgrade your firmware. Don't connect camera to CAMFi during firmware update.Stop the app.Next use your cable and connect camera to the CamFi.You will again need to connect to the CamFi Network in Network settings on your device; disconnecting from you normal network.Start the app on your device.Your camera should be turned on.You should see your camera settings on the app now.If you want to use the CamFi with your normal network, go to Settings / Connection and change it there.You must first get it all working with the CamFi Network before you change and save the network in the app on your device.I am personally using a Nikon D850 with my Windows 10 PC. I have also used it with my Android phone. No connection issues at all. I did not need to enable the WIFI settings on the D850. I did not need to change any settings on my camera.

Tutto perfetto, arrivato nel tempo stabilito, ma con Amazon non ci sono problemi di consegna. Provato sulla Nikon D 810 e funziona perfettamente dopo aver scaricato l'app Camfi, un app molto intuitiva e molto ben fatta, consiglio l'acquisto a tutti coloro che hanno una fotocamera senza il Wifi di qualsiasi marca. L'unico problema è il cavo di collegamento che è standard usb/mini usb e quindi bisogna acquistare il cavo adatto alla macchina su cui lo collegate ma molto spesso quel cavo viene fornito con la fotocamera.

Ich muss zugeben, ich hatte bei dem Preis wenig erwartet. Ging von einer unausgereiften App aus, auch mit instabilen Verbindungen, die den Nutzen schnell vermiesen können. Allerdings bin ich derart positiv überrascht, dass ich mich zu meiner ersten Produkt Rezension entschlossen habe. Das Produkt lief auf Anhieb. Es läuft stabil ! ich kann zwischen JPG / Raw wählen. Sowohl die Android App als auch die Windows Variante liefen auf Anhieb.Für diesen Preis ... gerne. Hilfreich, wenn man einen Rechner beim Shooting in der Nähe hat um mal gelegentlich zu schauen, ob das letzte Foto auch auf dem Monitor gut aussieht, stat nur auf dem kleinen Kamera-Display.
