Fantastic start to the morning 😊
I bought this as our bedroom is on the 2nd floor and I always get up and then take my cuppa back to bed. I remember my Mum and Dad having one of these back in the 80’s and thought I would treat myself. I read the reviews and kept an open mind. It really is great to wake up to the whooshing of the last boiling water filling the teapot. We had to dim the light to its lowest setting but find this is now fine and ideal for a small amount of light in the middle of the night if we need to get up. The ticking of the clock takes a little getting used to but is not really a criticism. No louder then a wall clock. The settings are easy to use and the clock is accurate. I have two criticisms of the teasmade and they are-the alarm that sounds after the tea is made. I wish there were an option for tea without alarm as its not right next to the bed and have to get up literally as the pot fills or the alarm would wake the whole street. Only other fault is that the lid of the pot gets scalding hot. Due to the bad design of the lid, you have to hold it on or it would fall off. I tried putting the teapot in place without the lid and then just popping the lid on when the pot is full. This works better as you can hold the lid on then without burning yourself. All in all, a great little product at a superb price which will be especially great on cold winter mornings. Word of warning......make sure you always put the lid on the water tank. Only forgot this once and ended up with hot water splashed all over the walls as it does not finish boiling without the lid on. Silly me!!

A very efficient service and a great product. A similar price to other hot water ...
The clock didn't work on it so no alarm! I emailed the seller and within 2 days they sent me another! Everything working this time so I have no complaints at all. A very efficient service and a great product. A similar price to other hot water dispensers that just provide hot water, no alarm, no tea. The clock does make a small regular noise that can either be soothing or annoying but it doesn't bother me, I can't hear it most of the time. Overall I love this product.

The 2016 Model Teasmade.
I have used a Swan Teasmade just about every day since 1958. This new 1950's model is excellent but I found the design of the new teapot a big disappointment!! I have discarded the new teapot and replaced it with the previous model teapot as I have three serviceable teapots on the "Top Shelf". The older design is bigger, holds more and is very much more robust and in fact produces a better cup of tea. What would my dear wife and I do without our Teasmade!

After 63 years of good Teasmade service I get a bad one !
I was very disappointed with a new 1950's Swan Teasmade, The tea it made was fine but the clock mechanism was rubbish. The second hand kept good time but the hour and minute hands kept stopping as and when they decided ! this meant that the alarm facility was useless. The first one was returned under warranty and a replacement received two days later, so far (7days) later this one seems to be OK. I am a Teasmade enthusiast, I have had one all my married life, (63 years today) and look forward to many more years of good service from my new one.

Just what I was looking for
I had a previous model of this Teasmade and loved it. When it stopped working I was unable to get a replacement - until now. This is just what I was looking for. I got a different model in the interim and it wasn't as good. This one makes a good cup of tea, and the alarm is easy to set and works perfectly. The only downside is that the time is a little difficult to read at night in the dark. The hands are a little bit difficult to distinguish. Otherwise perfect!

Disappointed!!
Had a teasmade for many years but it was getting unreliable and needed replacing. The new one is very disappointing and has been returned. The two main reasons are that: 1) The alarm goes off almost as soon as the boiling water goes into the teapot. This means that I have to get up to turn it off, return to bed, wait 5 minutes, get up again and pour the tea. The old one waits until the tea is mashed before it goes off. 2) The teapot is much smaller than the old one. It holds much less than 2 good mugs. The old one held enough for almost 3 good mugs. The description on the box says that it wakes you to a fresh cup of tea - not the case. The description on Coopers website says that it provides 2 good mugs of tea - not the case.

Brilliant. It might be 2018
Brilliant. It might be 2018, but this bit of retro kit is just as useful as it would have been in the 1960's. A good cup of tea, coffee, chocolate etc in the morning certainly helps one go from horizontal to vertical more awake and refreshed! My photo frame has a photo of the 3 great loves of my life - my wife & son standing in front of a 1960's diesel locomotive!! Seriously, this is good value for money at £35.00. Two good mug-sized hot drinks. Nice accurate clock.

Very nice teasmade.
We are very pleased with this Teasmade. It works extremely well. The clock is very accurate. We have not found the nightlight too dazzling. In fact I love it as it gives a nice little glowing light to see yourself out at night to the bathroom. One thing to be careful of is the teapot. Be careful when removing it from the teasmade. It needs a careful jiggle and it comes out.
