These weights are exactly as I hoped they would be -hefty,large, good quality attractive glass with the handles on them shaped in such a way that they are perfect for pulling out of a slippery fermenting liquid. These are the only ones where the handles slope upwards from a smaller-to larger, creating the perfect grip for fingers on slippery glass. The problem is that over half of the large set of 9 that I ordered arrived with the handles broken more than 50% off, and I do not feel confident using the broken ones with food products. I have requested replacement and hopefully the new set arrives complete. I would love to give these a 5 if they can correct the problem. So a new replacement order of these weights arrived 2 days later in perfect condition! I can now happily change my rating to a well-deserved perfect 5, as they really are not only well designed and attractive, but effective. Thank you Amazon & Okllen.

I bought these for my pickling process. I also used them as gifts as I had ordered the multi box. I’m very pleased with the weight and quality. They are easy to clean and are heavy enough to do the job of keeping cucumbers in the brine.

Solid, reliable. No sharp edges. These fit the wide-mouth jars perfectly. They were extremely easy to use. They're larger-profile than others, which is their blessing and curse: they're extremely easy to use, lifting out of jars, but they cut out about 3/4 inch of storage capacity in the jar. The center grip also can block the center vent hole on fermentation lids if stuffed too tight. Just use more jars, and you'll be fine, especially with 9 weights. I never tried them in the microwave -not sure why you would, but they're pure glass, so they're surely microwave safe.

Solid weights that fit quart sized mason jars well. I've used several times to ferment sauerkraut, and these have done the job just fine. Easy to clean (by hand or dishwasher), and overall they are a great value.

These glass fermentation weights do their job of keeping my pickled red onions and assorted peppers submerged, but let’s be honest: trying to grip them with tongs when they're slippery and wet feels like an Olympic sport. While they’re a definite upgrade from my previous set, which could double as a medieval torture device, those little handles could use a design rethink. They function as needed, but every time I go to retrieve them, it’s a battle of wills between me and my slippery friends. Still, they’re helping my fermenting game—just with a bit of extra finger acrobatics involved!

I like these little weights. They are easier to remove than my first weights.

I have ordered these several times as I make a lot of ferments. Excellent quality. Be sure to measure your jars to get the size right.

I bought these as pattern weights for cutting out clothes and they worked brilliantly. They’re so good I’ve bought another set. They’re a nice weight and they hold the fabric really well.
