Easy to install, decent size, functions well and is waterproof

I've had two of these products for a few weeks now, and it is definitely what I was looking for. I live in a fairly wet area of the UK and there has been no evidence of any water penetration at all so far. The lead is of a good enough quality that you can fix it to an external wall and there is no weakness in the outer / protective sleve when pinned with cable clips. The plug itself is also of a good quality and feels robust enough to survive an outdoor environemnt. Obvioulsy this is now set in place and hasn't been moved at all. The seal on the box where the leads enter / exit is a bit tricky to refit once opened for the first fit but for the sake of a minute to line up all the slots in the box / fitting, it is more than easy enough to do.

Great bargain for what you get, a super long extension and weatherproof box. However, the plastic is quite flimsy around the sealing part and ypu could see this wasnt quite 100% weather tight, so I have used some tape to seal this. The other components for the cable entrance / exit are well made and robust though.

All in all, this seems a really good product. It appears to be IP54 rated...as for how it would fair in an outdoor perspective therefore, I'm not 100%. As I'm using these inside of a growing box however, I'm not overly concerned as it will do the job in need it to...and then some. That said, it appears to be made using quality plastics, and has been supplied with a standard (i.e. not non RCD type) 4 way Masterplug power splitter with ample cabling and a re-attachable plug in case you wanted to reduce the length. As I am using this with a 2 way outdoor socket with an RCD built in, this is perfect I am satisfied that the Masterplug is genuine as it appears to have brass compression fittings around the ends of the cable inside the plug when removed from the plug pins. As for the box itself, it appears to clasp together firmly, has isolated fixing holes in all 4 corners to prevent water ingress, and has plenty of head room to allow for the fitting of even the bulkiest of power adaptors. It even has 'screw hanger' slots to the rear if you fancied hanging it up rather than permanently fixing it to a backboard. Only thing missing from the package were some screws to affix it to your desired location. It was however provided with some rather industrial looking, self adhesive, hook and loop strips...although, as I was fixing onto unplanned wood, it wouldn't have been adequate for the job. That said, as there are 2 X strips provided with each, I can use one with the 4 way adaptor and would have still had another to use with the box itself should I have been able to. As I managed to bag these in a sale at £15, I am over the moon with what I've received...and considdering we're currently affected by the Coronavirus in UK, they arrived in good time too.

Appears well made and robust box. Good size extension lead included. Can be mounted on a wall if required. Compares favourably with more expensive ones I've seen in shops.

Good solid box, easy to position the adapter for use. The seals on the cable outlets are very tight on 3 core 1.5mm cable but anything smaller is OK
