Bosch Professional 1x Dust Extraction Adapter (Accessories for Random orbit, Orbital and Multi-Sanders)

I’ve been searching for a dust extraction adaptor to fit my old Bosch PSS 200AE Orbital Sander for ages. The technical blurb for this accessory doesn’t specifically reference the Bosch PSS 200AE as being compatible but I decided to take a punt for £8.75. Fits and works absolutely perfectly without having to use the extra little plastic reducer insert which comes with it. 100% satisfied. No regrets buying. Having unclipped and removed the HW2 dust box filter from the sander, the new adaptor clips on to the sander extract port snuggly and securely. Same profile and design as the dust box connection. And the flexible rubber nozzle terminal that came with my Bosch Professional GAS 20L SFC fits perfectly over the round tube end of the adaptor forming a tight seal. So if you’re looking for a dust extractor adaptor that fits a PSS 200AE then this is the one for you. No more emptying the dust box filter and brushing the collected dust out of the fiddly filter fins inside. Whisk the dust away from the sander with a lot more punch! It’s given my old sander a new lease of life so the adaptor is definitely worth £8.75 and much better that buying a new dust box which would clog up in no time.

The product itself is fine, well made etc. Not brittle. Comes sensibly packages, but it does not fit our sander (Bosch GEX 125-1 AE). The listing and the packaging itself say it is for the GEX 125 (among others) but this must be a different version from the model currently available.

this here bit should be supplied with the orbital sanders in the box as they come from the factory.but NOOOOOOOO. bosch makes you buy them separately if you want to hook yer tool up to the ole' dustsucker, to save yer lungs from particles.and on top of that, the flimsy plastic clips break off quite easily after a few months of use.well done! just purchase an other one you ever milking cashcow of a builder.this is seriously not for professional use, otherwise it would be a sturdy build.but i am not gonna be one of them!instead of buying a new one when the second clip broke off i epoxied the damn thing to the port of my sander.luvly jubbley!

I've seen a couple of reviews that said some surgery was needed to get this to fit the PSM 160A. I thought I would have to do the same, at first it looks like it won't go over the last lip on the sander, but with just a bit of wiggling and flexing it does go on quite easily and the clips engage - see pics. The separate collar supplied with this is not needed on this model.I also thought the pipe for the vacuum to fit on looked tiny, but it does actually fit snugly in the nozzle on our Miele hoover, so I assume it is pretty standard. No more stopping and cleaning the filter out every 5 minutes when doing a big job like a door etc.
