Uni Jetstream 0.7 mm Ballpoint Multi Pen and 0.5 mm Pencil, Bordeaux Body (MSXE510007.65)

Just buy the pen. If you're reading reviews about a pen, then you appreciate a quality pen. This is one of them. The price is (probably) mostly the shipping. I got mine in 10 days, from Japan to the UK. But the best part about this pen (besides the 5 writing utensils buried inside) is the quality that it writes in. The inks are smooth, not blotchy. Quite fine tipped, and the colors are vibrant. The mechanism inside is small, smooth and it works. It has a solid spring action, no hangups. The plastic barrel connection is really well designed - the threads are large (so no cross threading) and when the body is fully screwed together there is no wiggly-ness. The grip is a nice, tactile rubber. But, it doesn't feel like you're writing with a club in your hand. A good size, I think. The only worry I have (I just received the pen) is that the ink supplies inside might be a little on the small side, because there is so much going on in there. I don't know how many milliliters (or whatever) as compared to other pens, but the tubes just appear smallish. So I will order some refills, which I can get from the same vendor (I believe). For occasional use maybe not necessary, but if this is a "go-to" pen for regular writing then I would recommend some refills. The pencil is a very clever mechanism (and it comes with lead installed). Again, very smooth and clearly well designed. I was anticipating this, so I ordered 2 (a white and a green one) and I will buy again when I lose them.

All four colours write very well with the typical Jetstream ink qualities. I was initially worried it would be too fat to hold comfortably but the grip is in fact very comfortable and the rubber type material allows a secure feel. It is sturdy and strong, without being heavy, and a far cry from the cheap feel of multi-colour pens of old.Some other reviews I saw stated that no pencil lead was included - however you need to keep pressing the clip/button to advance the lead to the end of the tube. Had me fooled too at first...Overall, very good, perfect for when you may need multiple colours but don't want to carry multiple pens around.

I bought this along with the "Uni-Ball Clipturn 3 in 1" and the "Uni-ball Signo Premier Rollerball" which are both estimated to arrive before this pen and I've used this pen for about 2 hours, normally given the extensive speed and amount I write my assignments with I just use my laptop to type them up; nope- not this time. I wanted to test the comfort and ink-flow of this pen, I had used a Uni Jetstream before and this lasted me around 2 1/2 years which is pretty good given I was doing 3 sciences, english lit and language and art (Yes, I used it to draw). This pen is a straight upgrade from the essentially stock-no frills one. The nicely integrated pencil is easy to access and no, it doesn't activate accidently as one may think and the writing, oh it's a pleasure to use, I found myself looking for more information just so I could use this amazing product, and does it have a nice rubber grip? Hell yes! The different pen switches have a sleek look with a line on them indicating the colour of the pen correspondent with that switch, it looks fancy- and although plastic, it feels durable and firm. I would recommend this to anyone, keep this up Uni.

I just had to write a review straight away. If you've grown weary of really dull coloured ink this is the pen for you. I frequently need to use red and green in my work. I have tried bic multipen, faber castell ball pens and various other brands. The ink from those pens have always been really dull and not as smooth as advertised. I had just begun to accept that this was the standard for all coloured pens since the name brands were all the same. I was wrong.The colours on this are so bright you'd think it was a gel pen. Also, the changing actions from pen to pen (and even pencil!) are very smooth. It also saves me a lot of space in my pencil case as I now need one pen to do the work of 5. I had to order this on amazon through a Japanese company but it was just over £5 and delivery took about 10 days. Brilliant revision tool.

This is a great product! It is made by Mitsubishi Pencil Company. I had an old model of this years ago that i simply wore out, and have not been able to source a replacement until now. I have to do mark-ups on documents and spreadsheets all day - and to have one pen able to do pencil notes, and multiple colour options on ink colour - it really simplifies life. To be able to go to meetings and have a single men to take is a treat. It has a quality feel and a slightly "chunky" barrel which fits my rather large hands nicely. There are other brands of 4-colour pens (pen only, no pencil) that look really cheap and plastic. Note that the end and pocket clip are chrome metal, not plastic - this enhances the look and heft of the pen. There is a pencil eraser under the cap at the top.I'd buy this again anytime.

I've ordered the multi with the pencil as I've been using the three colour version that comes free when ordered through the hobonichi store online.These pens write really well, plus you can use highlighters over the ink with no smudging.It is a chunkier pen however this is a positive for me as I find slimmer pens uncomfortable to grip for any length of time.Excellent quality for the price as well.Edited after the multi arrived.The pen is a little chunkier and weightier than the three colour version, to me this is a good thing as it makes the pen easier to write with. Also the 0.7 refills are even smoother than the 0.5 to write with. If I could give this a six star rating, I would especially as it's so convenient to have all essential writing implements within a single pen.It also coordinates the very nicely with my hobonichi cover.
