They were great value for money & perfect for party present gifts. My daughter loved it when she saw it & asked for one when it was her birthday. Quality is always great with Melissa & Doug but why don't they put lids on their boxed items??? Grrrrr...once open you can never contain the pieces & pack away properly!!!

Bought this for a seven year old girl. When it arrived it was a lot smaller than I thought however I purchase Melissa & Doug products as they are good quality. Overall a good purchase.

But still made a lovely little present for a little girl. Nice that its something practical for putting bits in because little girls tend to have LOADS of little things!

Lovely set as a gift, maybe a little expensive for what it is

ordered for a christmas gift. Not amazing quality, looks ok. Would look so cheap if it didn't have the Melissa & Doug tag. I wouldn't have picked it up in a shop had i seen it first. But i kept it. it could have had more decorations to add to the box. sure the wee girl will like it tho.

This was bought as a birthday gift for my daughter's friend, aged 6 years. She loved it, and had a great time completing the project. As always with Melissa and Doug products, the chest was lovely quality. It is only small, but I am told it is perfect for storing secrets! A hit with the little girl who received it.

I have bought many Melissa & Doug bead sets as gifts as they are usually very good quality, well packaged and make for lovely tasteful presents. I must say I was disappointed with this particular set. It is smaller than expected, looks cheaper than the usually good M&D quality. On first inspection the individual items fail to impress, although I am sure a little girl would still love to spend time decorating a cute jewellery box and won't necessarily notice all the little details that adults pay attention to.The sticker on the top of the box came a little torn and wrinkled and I removed it, which only unveiled an empty area at the top left corner of the presentation box. Because I bought this for a birthday present, I had to supplement it with another item, as it doesn't look substantial enough as a present on its own.
