Summary: It looks good, works well for the price, and installation is not hard (though you should "walk" the bracket down to avoid uneven mounting" "Why is it cheaper than the other listing?" - It only comes with the bracket, instructions, and the hex key you need for the ILM screws, while some of the other listings also include thermal paste. Installation: Gamer's Nexus has a good video on this thing on YouTube that I recommend watching. The box comes with basic instructions since the whole process is pretty straightforward, but I recommend slowly screwing in each screw (about a quarter turn at a time) to ensure even mounting pressure. I torqued mine down until I felt pressure and then gave it a little more after that to make sure it was good. Make sure you go corner to corner diagonally when you are screwing it in. Results: I saw my idle temps come down to as low as 23 Celsius (about ambient), and an average idle temp reduction of about 2 degrees. While web browsing I actually saw a temperature reduction of 5-6 degrees (31 Celsius before, 25 after) which was interesting. It also seems to cool down faster. As for gaming, I never saw it go above 60 Celsius, and usually peaked at about 55 degrees in matches which was a reduction of about 5 degrees for both. As a disclaimer, I also changed my thermal paste from Artic Silver to Arctic MX-4. I made other changes to my system, such as going from 1080p to 1440p but I maintained the same FPS so that shouldn't affect CPU utilization much. Overall I definitely recommend this bracket, especially if you're worried about temps. It is definitely helping my cooler reduce my CPU temps and feels much more secure/even than the stock ILM bracket. I feel like this thing would be crucial in an ITX build or any small/low airflow builds in general.

Cheap, effective, and easy to install. There is absolutely no reason to build an LGA-1700 computer without a contact frame to prevent IHS bending

It’s great there’s no downsides. Lower temps- around 5-7c cooler for me Prevents bending and makes sure your cooler will always have direct contact with the cpu. The quality is also very nice and feels very reliable, fit perfectly.

Installed this on a mildly overclocked i7-14600K build and it has worked well with no issues. Temps are well within safety margins not reaching TMax with a Thermalright 140mm twin tower air cooler. After installing it, I realized there is a much easier way to install it. Temporarily install the aftermarket cooler's mounting bracket to the back of the MoBo. This will sandwich the metal back-plate between the cooler bracket and back of motherboard preventing it from slipping/dislodging when the Intel OEM latch is removed along with its 4 screws. Next, remove the 4 screws from the Intel latch and remove it. The metal back plate holding the 4 screws doesn't move. Install the contact frame and all 4 screw holes will be right where they should be without requiring 4 hands on the project. No fiddling trying to realign the holes which minimizes the chance of accidentally bending any CPU socket pins. You are welcome for the tip. I can use it on my next build and save a lot of time !!! =)

it looks cool, surprisingly better quality than initially thought, super easy to install and I can confirm lower temps by 5 -10 degrees. it was fantastic all around, no complaints here

Simple to install, was fast and easy. There's a slight drop in temp, but does give more surface area for the cooler

First, I build PC's and repair them daily and have a lot of experience in this. This was a personal purchase to test and I can tell you even without much research that your experience will vary. 1. This product is meant to prevent your CPU from bending with the force of the stock cpu socket holder. If your cpu is clearly bending, (use a flat sheet of paper or something 100% flat to check it), This will help by alleviating that pressure... but your mileage may vary, as there are some motherboards that don't bend the cpu at all, and some that do... and there's no 100% foolproof way to know what motherboards will do what. 2. I had no issues installing it, but if it's uneven you'll get worse temperatures, and risk damaging the motherboard if you don't tighten it correctly. Overall the product itself seems solid. I don't see that big of temp drop, but 1-3 degrees overall isn't making much difference on a 13900k. I wouldn't buy this without researching your motherboard and cpu bending, if there's no trend of bending for your motherboard, you are probably not going to see any decrease in temps.

I received the product advertised, but it has does nothing to improve my temps. I was hoping for a few degrees, but its still the same. I'm hoping it will at least stop my cpu from bending.

Hatte mir einen I9-14900KF vor kurzem geholt und da hatte ich ganz schön temperatur probleme als ich mir diesen contact Frame gekauft habe muss ich sagen war ich wirklich verblüfft für das wenig geld was man zahlt ich habe knapp 10 minuten gebraucht um ihn anzubrigen und hatte manchmal bis zu 7-10 grad unterschied was gerade genug war um nicht ins thermaltrottlen zu gehen ich kanns wirklich nur jedem empfelen der noch das letze bisschen rausholen will.
