Used with a stickup battery cam. I had used a 1.8w and 6 watt solar charger, neither would keep the battery charged, even with turning on the cam only at night. Once I plugged this charging cable in it charged the battery to 100% in a few hours. It’s stayed at 100% charge with the stickup cam turned on 24/7. Wish I would have bought this earlier and not wasted money on solar chargers. Works fantastic.

I set this up as a charger for my ring stick up cam. Upon plugging it in, in the ring app you will get a prompt to switch to "wired mode" this enables better motion detection and pre roll, and a couple other small things like that. You can take the battery out after hooking it up to power, but I chose to leave mine in the camera. This is so if the power goes out I still have a battery backup until the power comes back on. It all works great for me so far and I will update this review if anything changes. A must buy if you are tired of taking your battery out to charge it, and this is much cheaper than a solar panel, plus it doesn't rely on the sun and gets constant power no matter what time of day or season!

I installed this when the solar panel wasn't quite enough to keep my outdoor cam charged. Easy installation and works perfect. Now I don't worry about the power status of the camera.

I was confused at first because I thought this would replace the battery and let the camera work strictly off power alone, which it does not. It just charges your battery while running, so it stays at 100%. My wife and I went on vacation and had someone house sit for us because of our dogs, so we had a bunch of Ring cameras plugged in all over the place. This cord let us use our battery powered cameras without having to worry about losing charge. The cord length is also a huge bonus if you're trying to go long distance with your camera.

Using this to keep my Stick Up Cam Battery charged all the time. It works great. The camera detects it as a solar panel but even with the camera's installation configured as Plugged In, it keeps the battery at 100% all the time. The barrel connector also fits snugly and keeps the connection waterproof for outdoor use. Overall, works great.

Needed a weather proof power supply to a ring installed on tree facing our street gate. This has survived several heavy rains and has not failed. On one occasion the outdoor outlet it is plugged into was submerged. The breaker trapped cutting power to the camera and after resetting the breaker the camera power was restored
