Tl;dr?? Since when?? Anyway, buy to re thicken gouache, grind further before use.
Brought these to re-thicken up my gouache paints as didn’t realise I was effectively turning them into watercolour with repeated activation with water after it hardens. It’s not as bright white as I imagined it but it doesn’t affect the saturation of colours in the slightest which is great. HOWEVER!! You will need to further ground the cal as immediate addition to your gouache will give your gouache a gritty feel as opposed to the creamy texture we know and love. Putting some on a plate and using a palette knife to grind the cal works a treat. I’d recommend getting some gum Arabic if you’re looking to do this also. Gum Arabic serves as a binder for the ingredients and also slows drying.
