Not perfect but one of the best wireless GameCube controllers
My goal has been to find a wireless GameCube controller with rumble that had a mostly authentic feel. So, I thought I should leave a review after trying very hard to figure out the best ways to wirelessly play GameCube and using many controllers. I have original controllers, a wavebird, the exlene, blueretro options and now this.Let’s start with where this controller is great. It connects almost instantly every time and has a simple connector that is like a mini wavebird receiver. Most of the face buttons have the same configuration as the original controller. The triggers are ANALOG. This is huge and rarely found in any of the aftermarket controllers. It has working rumble in a wireless controller another rare feature. The buttons and joysticks are very clicky and I had no drift problems at all. The responsiveness of the connection is great as well. One interesting thing is that there is technically to Z buttons. When connected to a GameCube either left or right just works as Z. I didn’t realize this initially but it’s actually pretty nice. The build quality and color is also very good. The blue/indigo is a perfect match for the original GameCube body. The controller feels very stable and firm with no rattle and a good, but not heavy weight. The areas I feel they could have improved are mainly that the rumble could be stronger and it would have been nice to have the second click at the end of the trigger buttons to know they had fully engaged. From an aesthetic angle, I’d have liked a yellow right stick, but I can live without that. After trying it in a variety of games though, these aren’t dealbreakers for me and I honestly haven’t found a better controller with all these features. The original wired controllers are great, but I wanted something wireless. I do really like the wavebird but it lacks rumble so you do lose some of the immersion factor in many games. The exlene, and nyxi all have digital triggers so they don’t work well in many first party games at all. The Hori wireless GameCube controller has no rumble. Blueretro adapters could be a great option, but I really wanted the face buttons to have a GameCube like configuration. Using a gamebros adapter + blueretro still left me with a bunch of wires, so I gave up on that as well.Aside from rolling your own DIY concept with an ESP32 (this option is very hard) there really isn’t a better wireless GameCube controller with 100% of the features of a wired controller. So, if you find yourself in a similar boat to me, I’d highly recommend giving this controller a shot. It’s a really great controller to use!

Wowza
This thing works like a dream, baybee! I can go from playing the best GameCube game (Resi Zero), no latency issues, then go hop on my computer and connect it so I can crank 90's with a freakin GameCube layout in Fortnite (my friends thought it was funny) and call it a day.Battery life is great for a controller like this. Rechargable which is amazing (Xbox keeping the battery market alive lol). Absolutely no qualms or issues. Delicioso mwah!K bye.

the BEST third party controller I've ever used
Wow. I'm actually more than impressed with this controller. I've been eyeing retrofighters controllers for a while, but decided on this one mainly because the GC layout is my favorite & I'm used to using it for beyond just GC emulation + it being wireless. The fact it's Switch compatible is an added plus AND they were nice enough to include a GameCube wavebird-style dongle. What surprised me was when setting this up for gameplay, I discovered it not only has analog triggers (I love them btw, they're literally PS4 mold triggers which are my favorite), it has vibration too!!!! Ive been using a hyperkin wired non-vibration GC controller for 7 years and let me tell you this was a BIG "hell yeah" moment for me lol. Also cherry on top, you can switch between Xinput and Dinput by holding the home button down for 3-5 seconds :)Great product and I simply can't recommend enough, thank you Retrofighters for delivering some quality for once on the 3rd party side!

Coolio would be impressed.
This thing lets me wreck fools in Mario Kart Double Dash, only on Gamecube!! DK, Toad, Luigi, it doesn't matter, I'm the best Kart Racer around thanks to this swank purple magic wand, yo.

Good Third Party Controller
This controller feels good to gold in my hands. I love having a wireless controller so I have no wires hanging around on the floor as a tripping hazard. I love that this comes with two ports: one for playing on your Gamecube or Wii, and one for when you want to plug it into your Switch or PC. My one issue is that I wish that there was a light on the controller that indicated when you have turbo mode activated for a button. I also think it might be slower than the Retropad n64 controller. It's still perfectly serviceable, otherwise.

Great wireless option for GameCube!
The BattlerGC is the perfect wireless replacement for the wavebird. Not only is it wireless, but it also has rumble! This worked nicely and paired quickly to my GameCube. The analog triggers take a little getting used to since they don’t have a separate digital click, but all games are playable and the digital activates near the end of the pull. I tried on the Switch / PC, initially my USB dongle wasn’t working but I contacted their support and they promptly sent me a new USB dongle that worked. I can say it works great on PC and Switch as well!It feels very comfortable in the hands, the button presses feel great and I love that the gates are octagonal like the original GameCube. It has a good weight, not too heavy and not too light. I also tried on Wii U, but that requires the original GC adapter. Overall very happy with the purchase and happy a company is out there making new controllers for older consoles
