FINE FETTLE KETTLE
Capacity 1.5 litres/2.64 UK pints, U.K. three pin plug, 72cm/2'4" actual lead length (excl. plug & base), base diameter 16cm/6.3", lead/plug colour black. Available in black/grey or white/grey (being reviewed) colours, also matching two slice toasters are available. This is a fairly quiet, quick boil auto shut off plastic bodied kettle. It takes about 3 minutes to boil a full kettle of cold water (2.4 kW.) There are two clearly marked large transparent side windows; one side in cups, the other litres. The protruding chunky flat round power switch is located near it's base, under the handle. It has a concealed red LED light that illuminates when operating. The easy grip angled handle has been very effectively designed to minimise wrist pressure when pouring, say a full kettle. This is the prime reason I bought this due to dexterity issues, ideal for those with arthritis and being made of a quality plastic, is lighter and safer if accidentally touched having just boiled. In addition the water keeps warmer due to the less heat conduction being lost than with a metal kettle. The top/lid is flat with a recessed pull-back switch/knob set towards the centre. It is very positive, easy to use and effective. The hinged lid when open, remains at 90˚, giving a positive 'click' and feel when shut. Filling it with water and viewing the water level as it rises, has been well thought out, being easily seen. There is a removable scale filter mesh guard that slides out from the spout for cleaning. The spout's design creates a practical narrower stream of water when poured, with perfect attention to detail, being shaped cutting off the stream of water, preventing drips. Described as a cordless kettle, the power base has a chrome and grey finished circular disc with raised central spindle (not too high), enabling the kettle to dock easily. This is another considered design touch for those who may have weaker wrists and hands. Beneath the power base is a space for effective cord storage. The kettle has a concealed heating element, allowing the inside of the kettle to remain flat and uncluttered, thus it is a doddle to clean. I live in an extremely hard water area, so I regularly use food grade citric acid crystals (cheap and easily obtainable), to completely remove any scale by boiling a full kettle of water with a desert spoon full of citric acid. I allow it a further 10 minutes, then rinse it with fresh water, also unlike using vinegar, there is no odour or after taste. This kettle is a dream to clean if/when necessary with any water splashes on the outer body easily wiped away. The kettle arrived fully boxed, protected for transport and various leaflets/booklets from instructions to guarantees. Over the many years and experience of numerous kettles, including those with different temperature ranges, this single one is the best, most practical, most thoughtfully designed effective kettle, having all the best qualities that one may hope for in a kettle. It is truly a quality, well made and efficient kettle. Oh yes, all this and it is very fairly priced. Perfect! Now I must go for I am making my next cup of tea and the kettle has just boiled. See the photographs.

Great buy
Excellent kettle. Pours beautifully. Others have mentioned exposed screws on the lid, but I don't mind this at all, looks in keeping. The lid is as wide as the kettle itself, making it super easy to fill and/or clean. Solid and well built.

Decent all-round kettle with a perfect pour
This is a simple kettle. No fancy features to go wrong or not understand in the future. I like the bright red light on the chunky power lever that tells you it's working. The fill level is easy enough to see and the window shows cups on one side and litres on the other. The max fill level is a plastic tab inside the kettle that you can't miss or get wrong. The lid opens with the flick of a big switch and the kettle is easy to fill. It knocks off quickly when it's boiled, unlike some kettles I've had. It has a patented pouring design apparently, and... it actually works! It pours better than any kettle I've ever used. The water seems to be almost sucked back in when you stop pouring. Any bad points? The Dualit branding, if that matters, is all but invisible. It's a bit plasticky. It has exposed screws on the lid, though you could sy that's part of its no-nonsense design. Not much wrong with this kettle really. For this brand it's even fairly good value.

Good quality & looks nice
Bought this to replace the same model that I'd bought 6years ago that is still going but the switch is playing up a bit so ordered this in advance! Best kettle we've ever had, little bit pricey but it's used everyday & looks good. Easy to handle as you don't have to tip it all the way. We also have the toaster to match.

Fantastic! Robust, easy to use, satisfying.
I'm so sick of cheap, rubbish on Amazon, so it was a great relief and extremely satisfying to receive the best kettle I have ever used, which feels basic, but just really good quality! It is simple and self-explanatory, no bells and whistles (except arguably the protection for no water which is more of a safety feature and very welcome), extremely robust, functionally perfect* (except one-hand suggestion below) and looks quite good too. No leaks, pours really great (feels like magic) with no splash or too low angles, very easy to place on base, strong and reliable attached lid (*perhaps one-handed opening functionality would be even better), two clear and straightforward water level marked windows (# cups on one side, litres on other), satisfying clicky switch with LED inside the switch (and no large gaps around the switch to collect dust or the occasional moth - which has perplexingly happened to me before with my old kettle), no weird smell, easy to grip and hold, lightweight, fairly well insulated from heat and quite a lot quieter than my old kettle. I thoroughly recommend this kettle if you just want to make multiple cups of tea without effort or thought. DISCLAIMER: mine is still brand new so let's see if it lasts for many years with similar, consistent performance. ...Dammit, I took so long to write this review that my tea got cold!

Best kettle ever!
This is the best kettle I’ve ever owned. It’s excellent build quality. Large lid opening size and it’s fast if you o my fill it up to what you need. It’s also got a super large capacity if you have people over. No noisier than any other kettle I’ve owned. Easy to clean compared to other kettles I’ve owned. Looks great on the side in the kitchen. Honestly if you like the look of it just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.
