Fan tastic
This thing works outstanding I'm fortunate that my attic has a Gable vent on each end and one faces the South and that's where I installed this solar ventilating fan and there is enough articulation from the solar panel mount to put it at easily 20° and I have strong winds where I live and it has never once moved.

How much can you really love a Solar Attic Fan? ALOT!!!!!!
I have a shed that gets over 100* in the summer. I've done all I can to keep it cool. The only thing that kind of works is to run the poor little 8K BTU window AC all day and all night. So, after a few $600 electric bills, I'm done with that idea. The walls and ceiling are insulated, but there is not much air flow. This fan is so quiet that you barely hear it running. I need to put my ear up to it to hear it run. And it does a GREAT job of venting out the room. The different mounting options let you mount it pretty much anywhere. Mine is in the roof. Really easy to install. NO WIRES! The one and ONLY issue with it is if you cover any part of the panel, the fan barely runs. I was testing it, and even with the shade of just my hand, the fan speed drops really low. Weird. If you have direct sunlight, this thing pulls a lot of air. Temps are down in the 80*s at the most now!

love this sucker
took about ten minutes for the install as long as you have all the tools with you,its heavy and large but works like a charm, pulled hot air out of the attic immediately and our small attic space and home had an immediate temp difference on the inside,i would venture to guess about 5 degrees but smaller spaces would probably cool down alot more, this is probably one of the better purchases i have made for the house ever.

Cools down the hot and humid attic
This product works. It does lower the temperature in the attic by exhausting the hot and humid attic air out. The difference in over all house temperature during hot summer is noticable. Update 3.2.24: One of the fan stopped working on a clear hawaiian sun. I spun it manually thinking that it may help start spinning again with no joy. There is one good thing that i discovered though, the fan blade and the motor unit can be removed while the entire unit is still mounted on the roof. So i proceeded on removing the motor and took to my workshop and i was very diasappointed to have found that the motor is NOT, again is NOT a brushless motor as stated in its product features. It is a conventional brush type motor. In fact, the very reason it stopped working is the commutator has turned black-an indicative of bad contact with the brushes which were wearing out quickly evidently with heavy brush dust all over it. I am able to clean it, and got it to work again. From the look of the brush wear, they look like they are only going to last for about only a year or two max. I feel bad for the folks that bought these solar fans that may not have the ability to do what i just did to get it running again. Replacement of the entire unit is not cheap. I blame Amazon for selling a falsely advertised product by not fully vetting it. AMAZON should revised this solar fan's product features. Brush-type motor not brushless as deceptively writen. I would like to have a full refund on this purchase. If amazon wants them back, they can pay the roofers to have them removed. 7.3.25 update: Both fan now are obviously have gotten very slow. July is when the sun is most straight up in the sky here in Hawaii and the panels are receiving the most sunshine. Fan 1 is squealing real loud that no birds want to hang around the roof any more. Fan 2 has tremendously gotten slower now. Please if your in the market for solar attic fan, look somewhere else. Read all the other unpleasant comments if I'm not convincing enough. I can not over empathize the fact that these are NOT brushless motors (huge difference). Look at the pictures that I had posted. Note the black dust from the brushes.

Brighter the sun the higher the cfm's. Pretty easy to install if you know what you're doing. There's higher a pro.

High-quality solar power attic fan
This unit is larger and heavier than it looks, and moves a lot of air (not even close to stated CFM, but still very good). When installing be sure to tie it to the roof or chimney so it doesn't slide off and kill someone. I have 1,200 sqft attic and one unit lowers the temp by 25 degrees or more on hot, sunny days. UPDATE: ordered and installed a second unit and now have one fan on south side and one on west side to maximize number of hours that fans are operating.

Works Right Away
I purchased this attic roof fan two weeks ago and have finally taken the time to install it. I wished I had done it earlier. I live in West Texas, and finding ways to cool my house while not paying extra each month in cooling expenses. I tried a gable fan as well, but ii costs me money each month. This sucker started as soon as sunlight hit it. It took me all of about 10-15 minutes to remove the boring squeaky old style and install. I used a tube roofing sealant for installation and finishing.

La calidad del producto es muy buena, la eficiencia del panel solar es ideal, no lo pudimos instalar empotrado en el muro por el grosor del block, pero es un producto que sin duda debe generar excelentes resultados para reducir temperaturas en el interior de cualquier construcción.
