Easy peasy adhesive
Best adhesive for smaller projects like placemats or tea cozies. I have replaced my pins with this great product.

Excellent for basting a quilt
This is the best. It works SO much better than Dritz, Sullivan's, June Tailor, etc. 505 is by far the best for basting a quilt, applique or adhering stabilizer for embroidery. Some of the others aren't as repositionable as they claim, particularly as time goes by they become more permanent. You should spray this very lightly for 2 reasons:1. It's really bad for your lungs. I setup 2 portable fans circulating the air and use a face mask. Best yet, use it outside where you get the best air. Regardless, open your windows.2. You don't need much. Using more doesn't make it work better. It's so tacky that a light spray from above works best.Tip: I lay my quilt sandwich [backing, batting, quilt top] on the floor, then use a long handled paint roller to flatten after misting with 505. Start in the middle rolling towards one end, then mist the other half. You need a helper, but will have a perfectly basted quilt without wrinkles/creases.

This stuff really works.
This has transformed how I baste quilts, and since I sometimes make fairly large quilts, it saves literally hours of time that traditional pin basting would take. Just don't inhale it. Use it outside or with super good ventilation. I also wore a mask. Also, be sure to shake it at least as long as recommended before each use, so you will get an even spray. A teacher recommended spraying the fabric instead of the batting, and that was much easier to do.

Works Well.
I have used this to spray baste placemats and tote bags before I quilt them. I just use a couple spritzes of this adhesive on the fabric, smooth it over the batting and then turn it over and do the other side. ( I do use allot of safety pins, too.) If you have wrinkles or get something crooked the first time, you can separate the batting & fabric and smooth them out again. I haven't noticed any gummy residue on my sewing machine needle or fabric after use. I seem to get much better results with my machine quilting when I use this product---my backings are way smoother and everything seems to lay better.

This stuff is a amazing.
I bought this for use while "floating" my embroidery projects in my embroidery hoop. I can't believe I was struggling to hoop things before and this had made my life so much easier. It works well to "stick" your items to the stabilizer that is hooped. I find I still often need to pin to secure the fabric (more of a just in case! than a need). It has saved me endless hours and makes it so much easier to position the fabrics where needed on the hoop. I don't think I will ever be embroidering without it!

1 step forward, 18 steps back
I used this on a quilt hoping that it would speed the process up so I could get finished. It pretty much did the opposite. I had chosen to use a sheet as the backing material to avoid having any seams, but whatever the material was that the sheet was made out of, it did not cooperate with the spray basting. It all came loose when I had to set the quilt aside for awhile. Luckily, I had sewn the center seam going both directions on the quilt, so the backing didn't fall all the way off. I pin basted it, and then continued working on it, but had to pass it on to someone else to work on when I left on vacation. I'm not sure what happened at that point, but they had massive troubles getting it to work on their machine without gumming it up and ended up taking the entire backing off and replacing it. It did hold much better on the quilt front, which was made up of material salvaged from a variety of men's shirts, but even so, it was such a difficult process to get it to lay straight as I was spray basting it to the batting. I was working on a full size quilt, so I was having to shift around and crawl all over it, but even using the tricks I saw online, it just took forever, and I don't think I saved any time, even on the part that worked better. I might consider using this for a small project, like a baby quilt... but never again for a large project.

It makes the end results look like professionally done work
What a change in the outcome for machine embroidery projects! It brings the puckers in my tee shirt projects to near zero. Everything I've made since using this stuff has come out flawless. It temporarily binds the stabilizer to every portion of the tee shirt, with zero chance of it (the stabilizer) tearing from multiple layers of stitching getting laid down.Again, near zero puckering of t-shirt material during embroidery machine projects, because this binds the stabilizer to the whole surface. It makes the end results look like professionally done work.

Part Missing
I always keep this product well stocked, and ordered/received this item in August. A few days ago (12/15/18), after finishing off the can I had already, I opened the aforementioned and found that the spray button was missing. The product itself is great, so I have no problem with that. Just disappointed in myself that I did not take the top off right away to see that a part was missing. I could've returned the product in the time allotted for returns. Also, I think the merchant in the future may want to start checking items like this before shipping.I also removed the spray button from the can I was discarding to try it on the new one. It would not work, so I cannot use the product. Lesson learned.

Avoid buying from Sewland, they ship the small can
This is an excellent product I've used for years. No gumming of needles. However, I do feel compelled to point out, that seller SEWLAND-USA, ships the 6.22oz size. So, if it's the largest 10oz size you're looking for, avoid buying from Sewland unless you just enjoy paying twice as much for half the product.

Fantastic for basting quilts, watch for that overspray
Love 505 Spray for basting my quilts!! It does not gum up my needle (and I tend to have a heavy hand when spraying). Also, it does not have a heavy smell that chokes you. However, definitely put something down to catch the overspray. That is not fun to get up, and it does seems to drift out. My quilt layers do not shift with this product. I have used it to quilt an almost king size quilt that I spent a couple of months working on. No shifting, and I left it in my sewing machine during that time (so some of it was bunch up). I have never pin basted so can't compare, but I did try another basting spray (once) which was a nightmare as it gummed up my needle and the thread kept breaking. I will not use anything but 505!

Love this adhesive.
I bought this because I needed to machine embroider some linen and it's advised to use this type of temporary adhesive when hooping. I have used quilting temporary adhesive. Not a good idea and I see the difference in both. Quilting adhesive does not wash out. This does and I've not had an instant where it gummed up my needle. Embroidery goes smoothly, like it should. It sticks to stabilizer well and it did not shift on me. Hooping went very well also. I'm planning on using it with all my machine embroidery. I just like it because I don't have to worry when hooping fabric and stabilize and fabric shifting in the hoop. You can only tighten those hoop screws so much. To me, this 505 adhesive takes care of the worry.

Good for Quilting
I love using the spray adhesive for my quilting projects. The only downsides are that everything needs to be covered (especially the sewing machine and all electronics) before you start spraying and its expensive. One can will last about 4 or so quilts. I've got one pinned right now because I hate to use up all my spray. It does work well, though!

Don't buy the cheap products!
When I was looking around for temp adhesives to spray baste my quilt, I heard about this product. I also heard not to skimp on quality. But, I was at a local craft store, and there was a can of spray adhesive that was $15.99, so I thought, what the heck--this isn't "cheap" so I'll go ahead and try it.Wrong!Cheap doesn't mean price! I tried using the cheap product for things for my daughter's wedding and it was a disaster. I didn't have time to buy the 505 and ended up hand-sewing the things I needed the basting spray for. Who has time for that? So, before I basted my next quilt, I bought the 505 and was sure glad I did. "Everyone" was right--don't skimp and don't waste your hard-earned dollars on anything else. This is the best product out there.

The best spray baste there is
I love this basting spray. It really has improved my quilting since switching from pins to spray. I have tried other brands but 505 is the best hands down. I love that I can spray the fabric. Get everything set, and then adjust if needed and it still remains tacky. The only downside is, I tend to get this on the floor around the quilt when I spray. But a little quick mopping afterwards and it is all gone ( and I have a clean floor)!

Very nice product.
I didn't know whether if you left this tack on your material it would revert to permanently glued. It didn't darn it. lol It is easy to work with, and is solid while it holds. You can smooth out your fabric one on top the other nicely. I wish they made one (or does anyone know of one) that gives you this amount of open working time (repositionable) and then becomes permanently glued. I was trying to layer two fabrics together with no fluff between them.I noticed absolutely no residual or staining in using it. I sure wish it wasn't this expensive though.
