After wasting my time with cheap trimmers, and even using scissors and a multi-blade razor like a caveman, I decided to splurge on a nice trimmer, and I have not and will not go back. This thing is indestructible, I've had this for over a year now, and it's been through some heavy wear, and it looks and works just as good as the day I got it. The battery lasts an extremely long time on a full charge, it's not very loud, the waterproofing is so good that sometimes I decide to just shave while showering and it has made no difference to the operation of the trimmer. Face, beard, pits, the berries, it works real well on just about everything, and it does not jam or nick you at all (I was terrified the first time I tried it anywhere lower than my chest). The trimmer feels good in the hands, it's contoured in a way where you always get a good grip on it, the material is textured for ease of use as well. The motor itself is really powerful, I've done some basic trimming with my hair, and even though I've got a lot of it, and it's pretty thick, the trimmer had no problems eating away at it. For the price you pay, you get a lot of attachments, and if you really think about it, the build quality and versatility of this thing makes it well worth investing into. The front of the unit has a dial for very precise sized cuts, it makes trimming my facial hair evenly a breeze, I don't even think about it anymore, I even shaved my beard without looking once because I was that confident in the adjustments I made to the dial. Get this, do your hygiene a favor and don't look back.

Works well. So far so good with the new one

I was using a twenty dollar trimmer for years and kept replacing it every few months so I finally decided to actually invest in something decent. The Braun does everything I need including beard, nose, and body trimming and switching between attachments is super easy. The precision wheel for adjusting length is a game changer compared to those clunky plastic guards on cheaper trimmers. Battery life is solid too and I have only had to charge it a couple times since I got it.

Pros: This is not my first Braun Trimmer. I like them. I like the way the adjustable wheel works on these compared to other brands. They're waterproof so very easy to keep clean. The only issue is eventually, the battery starts to die. After 2.5-5 years, they'll stop ever having "full power" if that makes sense. But that's a good life for me. The only "Con" is petty, and I'm only bringing this up because i see it mentioned in some reviews. When putting the two trimmer heads on that are adjustable, they don't always automatically start at the number set. They kinda default all the way down to zero (the closest setting). All the braun trimmers have done this. This is what's happening when you read a review where someone complains i't's shaved their beard too far down. What you need to do, is place the head on with it set to zero, or after placing it on dial it down to zero and back up. Make sure it's adjusting, then set it wherever you want. If it's not moving, you're set to shave your beard off.

I've had this for a while now, and find that it has all the attachments I need, and the battery lasts a long time between charges. I travel, and this goes with me wherever, US or international. It charges on 220 volt systems in South America with no problems. Just a great shaver!

I have had it for a year and two months, and it was pretty good while it lasted. I'm disappointed that it broke after 26 months. I would have thought I would get more than that. The Amazon support window is exactly 24 months, so perhaps they know something that I don't know. Biggest complaint I would have during use is that it's very, very difficult to read the numbers on the dial.

Bought this trimmer new, it came used, withiut the original box and with hair inside and now I have to go through the trouble of sending it back across the world

This shaver has a proprietary charging system and cannot be charged via other means. This shaver should be advertised as having a USA style plug and be for people visiting the US only as of now I have a very expensive paper weight that cannot be charged with and Australian general power outlet.
