Works well with Fiat 500L 2014 and Multiecuscan
I was able to use it both from my iPhone and Windows 10 tablet. It is a bit annoying that you cannot use the internet while you are using this but my use case was to fix a TPMS monitoring unavailable error and that is the least of my complaints. I was also able to connect with the recommended Auto Doctor on iOS but it does not give access to the CAN bus to access the TPMS system.Without any additional cable I was able to connect to Engine ECU. Then with Yellow cable I was able to access the TPMS ECU. There I was able to see an existing error code that I was able to clear. I was also able to read/set various parameters that identified the sensors and default settings of high/low values. Overall, impressed with the ELM327 at this low price. The overall experience of using with Multiecuscan is not for the faint of heart as it takes a few attempts to get good connections and work around the software bugs. The Multiecuscan forum talks about hardware mods needed for cheap ELMs, none of that was necessary for this ELM. Maybe tuning some of the software parameters would have resulted more seamless experience but that would reduce the DIY fun.

Stopped working
I didn't notice when the exact time it stopped working I left it plug in and used the android head unit to check mpg and codes. I pull it out of my car and swapped in the wife's and I had no connection I was the car scanner pro app and went to there website to trouble shoot there site clearly states these adapters have a very short life span ...... well pop it opened and there you go in found the problem

Works well but don't care for the wifi connection, and 12v readings are significantly off
I first got an OBD2 adapter/scanner (ELM-327) in 2015 and have found it to be incredibly useful. Having this second one lets me keep it in the 2nd car without needing to switch between cars.If you have any interest in cars, besides just driving them, an OBD2 scanner lets you see all kinds of informative and useful information. For example, most cars give you an engine temperature gauge on the dash, but it's generally just a gauge with no numbers. If you'd like to know the actual value, an OBD2 scanner will give it to you. The same goes for your car's 12v battery, maybe your dashboard has a gauge, but rarely an actual value, and mostly you just get an "idiot light" that turns on to tell your battery is dead or isn't being charged - and mostly you get this information too late. With an OBD2 scanner you can see the actual value and if you use it correctly you can tell the battery is starting to have a problem long before the day when you turn the key and the car doesn't start. This type of information doesn't even scratch the surface of what's available from an ODB2 scanner. My old OBD2 adapter has easily saved me thousands of dollars in diagnosing/fixing problems. As I like to do my own maintenance, I don't see myself ever being without an OBD2 scanner/adapter, even if it's just in my toolbox. You do need to pair the OBD2 scanner with software in order to read anything. There is a disc which comes with this adapter, but I never looked at it. There are numerous smartphone apps available to do this, and I find that to be the most useful way to interface with an OBD2 scanner (rather than a pc/mac). I use Torque Pro (Android only), it's been around a long time and has been the dominant app, it still works great but is no longer supported by its developer. I have also started trying Car Scanner (android and ios), it functions a little differently but seems to have the same type of capability. This adapter uses wifi to connect to your phone, others (like my original adapter) use bluetooth. The main problem with using wifi is that your phone will disconnect from cellular data when it connects to the OBD2's wifi. I never thought about this issue until after getting this device. I believe there are apps which make it possible to use both wifi and cellular at the same time, but it is not the norm, and I have not done this. So I think it's better for most people to use an OBD2 adapter that uses bluetooth, even if bluetooth might not have the same bandwidth as wifi. My plan for this OBD2 wifi adapter is to just pair it with one of my old smartphones dedicated to this one purpose (it's just sitting in a drawer so I might as well give it a job to do).My other gripe with this adapter is the accuracy of its 12v reading. OBD2 ports have one pin that provides 12v power for OBD2 devices that get plugged in, so the adapters include a built-in analog-to-digital converter which measures that voltage and converts it to a digital signal. For all other data, OBD2 adapters get their information from the car's computer. For this adapter, and my old one, when paired with my vehicles, this is the only available 12v signal (nothing is received via the car's computer). This adapter simply does not provide an accurate 12v reading. I've compared it against an accurate multi-meter and this adapter reads high by over a volt, much further off than I would like. My old adapter gave an accurate reading.
