Is the back of the case grippy, or is it smooth?

Will this case let you use Google Pay? My current case is too thick and it will not transmit thru the case.

My Samsung S23 fits perfectly in the case. Keep in mind that the S23 Plus and the S23 Ultra are bigger devices and will not fit in this particular case. It's only for the "basic" S23
