It seems like it's made of the same stuff as the bags in the produce section of the grocery stores. I had a bag in the bin for over a week and it didn't leak, even with wet stuff in it. The bags are easy to rip/tear though, so be careful with sharp/pointy things. All in all I'm very happy with the product.

I’ve been using these bags for almost a year now. After trying other compostable bags, these were the toughest! They still rip easily when stuffed too full, but what doesn’t? I love that they are good for the planet, anything to reduce plastic!

Tried the Hold On brand trash bags (big and small sizes) and the zip top bags in an effort to use less plastic and be more non-toxic in my house. These products, while more expensive than the plastic counterparts, are wonderful. The trash bags hold up, are strong, and don’t break. The zip top bags are great too. If you are trying to be more environmentally friendly and use less plastics…I highly recommend these.

These bags are noticeably weaker than typical plastic garbage bags. It doesn't take much for them to rip as you're pulling them out of the can- either the bag itself, or the drawstrings. It's leaked more often than it hasn't- which is odd because we really don't throw away wet objects? The size is appropriate to slightly smaller than a typical kitchen garbage bin- it fits in the can itself fine but the bottom doesn't touch the bottom of the can. They're double in price compared to their plastic equivalent in the same quantity. I hope that this product continues to evolve to become a bit stronger and less costly.

These are great compostable bags. Strong enough to not tare but compost. I have these on subscription so I don’t run out.

I really like that these trash bags are compostable. I didn't give them 5 stars because the bag can be easily torn. That doesn't keep me from being a repeat buyer.
