Nicely made and very useful for reversing the connections of RS232c. Needed to run a test of a serial port isolator and they worked fine.

Works as intended.

Did what I needed it to do, however, if you remove the screws that are on the sides where other cables or such would attach, the adapters fall apart. Nothing else holds the adapter together.

I have order two of these sets for work and both have been great.

Beware that any of the female-ended ones these cannot successfully change the gender of a cable to allow it to plug into a device - they will only work to join two cables together. As many (all other one-star) reviews have noted, these adapters are an assembly of pins which are held together by two standard-size nuts/bolts which will accept a cable's securing threads. These pins for assembly are essential to leave in place or this mini-adapter falls apart. Unfortunately when trying to plug a female adapter end into a male socket on any computing device, the two nuts on the mini-adapter prevent the two from actually connecting because the male socket on a computer has those same nuts - so close, and yet, so far. They were cheap enough that I'll keep around in case of cable connections, but I'll have to order something else to accomplish my task at hand.

Im a service tech, and was going to use these if I had to connect to a device and my cable had the wrong end on it. I have used it for that. But what saved me was I connected a device to a transmitter, but the cable had the wrong end on it. I remembered I had these, and gave it to the customer to the job was able to be completed. Customer was very happy, and made the install quick, clean and most importantly, working!

Needed these adapters to make an older device compatible with a computer I was using.

A little confusing at first to have a set of gender changes which includes one adapter which doesn't change the gender until you realize that with these 3 adapters you can also connect any 2 cables together regardless of gender. I was very disappointed that I could not remove the screws from the male to female gender changer (it is female on both sides) without the metal caps falling off. That makes it useless as a gender changer. It's only good for joining two cables because the screws on the adapter will butt up against the screws on the device I am trying to plug into, preventing it from plugging in. I actually had this issue trying to connect a USB to serial cable directly to a motor drive the other day. I'll have to see if I can find this one separately without this flaw.
