This sits underneath the sprung flap on the back of the mower making the exhaust much smaller and directing it straight down into the turf. A lot more tidy than mowing without the box, though you will still get some clippings blowing around.Supposedly the clippings get circulated a bit longer and this is why they come out a bit smaller.The recommended settings don't make a lot of sense. I assume you set it high for the airflow. Generally with mulching, you only want to trim the grass. Big clippings are more likely to sit on top and take much longer to break down. If your grass is long, maybe make a couple of passes? As long as you don't cut more than ⅓ of the leaf in total.

So I read the mixed reviews on here and thought "sod it, worth a gamble". Probably about 2 months into ownership now.I was happy I took the punt. This saves me a lot of time on my mow (I have a massive lawn, so the time is shaved down by over 50pc). I can still broadly cut it on the same height (3.5 or thereabouts).There are some limitations; the cut isn't as clean and it probably grows back a bit quicker as you squash some blades down as opposed to cutting it. You will struggle to cut on damp grass (or at least you have to set it a fair bit higher). There is still some grass debris (but if I'm having people over, I'll use the grass box so it doesn't get walked in). Does feel like the motor is working a bit harder, so I wonder if it may shorten its lifespan.Also, you get a few more weeds/clover/moss but strangely that has just made my lawn look more lush and green (unless you get right up close).But overall the benefit to me feels massive, I can fly over my lawn each time without stopping. Basically this has given me back about 20 hours of my life back every year. Which for £12, seems like a decent investment to me.

This is so useful it really should have come with the mower. You just need to be aware that you will need to mow often for it to be effective (and to really mulch the clippings into the lawn and get a smooth finish), and not too low. In a country where it rains more than it doesn't it can be tricky to get the right conditions within the weekly timeframe for mowing with this that you might need, but if you can it is great - a quick blast over the lawn care-free with no cuttings to empty, and you are feeding the lawn as well. Win,win. I've found that if I leave it a little too long between cuts, a second pass over the lawn will mulch up any grass that was not suitably chopped up the first time and it is still quicker than running back and forth to the compost.It is very easy to fit (lift the back flap on the mower, drop it on the locating bits and it stays put) so no worry about fiddling about with it each time you want to swap.

Save money. And just use the top of the Grass Box Cover. Does the same job

This does not fit the Rotak 36 which I bought from Amazon in the same transaction despite clearly stating that it would.

Fitted OK. Stops the cuttings being thrown out or into the grassbox and allows them to be given an extra chop with the blades before they drop out back on the lawn. Two small gripes - one, the mulched cuttings still fall in heaps onto the lawn and two, the instructions reveal that for optimum working of the system, a very small cut of high grass is required. Not practical for me so have to use it whilst cutting somewhat lower than recommended (perhaps leading to gripe one). Nevertheless, cheap enough and easy to fit / remove and useful to have available.

I was a little skeptical after reading the other reviews.I had started cutting the grass with the grass box off but was finding that the leftover grass was messy and sometimes would take a while to break down.This is a plastic cover that fits perfectly where the grass box should go. It does a much better job of sending the grass back through the blades so that smaller pieces.The only reason I've marked it down is that it is expensive for a simple bit of moulded plastic.

Was not sure about this because some reviews said it was rubbish. However after using it twice now it's much better than just leaving the grass box off as the grass is not blown out of the side. You have to move the mower back and forward a few times to get the correct result.

Dopo anni passati a tagliare il prato "senza raccoglitore" sporcandomi i piedi con i fili d'erba, finalmente scopro questo accessorio!!!! ..caspita averlo saputo prima! Non sapevo che esistesse...Ok che il mulching è un'altra cosa ma, per 20 euro cosa volete di più?Solo per il fatto che il tagliaerba non spara più l'erba addosso mi fa contentissimo. Poi qualcosina di mulching fa: non è che spezzetta ad 1mm tutti i fili, ovvio, ma taglia i fili d'erba molto più piccoli rispetto senza, quindi direi ottimo! Praticamente i fili al posto di uscire vengono direzionati più e più volte sulla lama, tagliandoli nuovamente e poi vengono espulsi fuori da SOTTO, non da dietro.Sinceramente il mio prato tagliato 1 volta a settimana stava già bene anche senza ma così diventa più comodo il taglio ed il prato sta ancora meglio... L'importante è affilare bene la lama: io l'ho affilata non solo alle estremità ma anche su tutto il filo utile!Suggerito.

Ich habe das Mulchkit als Zusatzteil zu meinem Akkumäher gekauft, weil ich vorher schon einen Mulchmäher hatte und diese Funktion nicht mehr missen wollte.Das Mulchkit verschließt die hintere Auswurföffnung des Mähers, der Rasenschnitt wird gleich vor Ort zerkleinert und zwischen die Gräser gepustet. Das gibt dem Rasen an Nährstoffen zurück, was man ihm durch das Mähen nimmt.Wenn man regelmäßig mäht, kann man sich mit diesem Teil das aufwändige Leeren des Auffangbehälters sparen und man pflegt gleichzeitig den Rasen. Wenn man, wie ich, nicht ganz so regelmäßig mäht, muss man damit leben können, dass ab und an ein paar längere Halme auf der gemähten Rasenfläche liegen bleiben.Ich kann gut damit leben und liebe dieses Teil.Zusätzlicher Pluspunkt: Der Rasenmäher wird durch das Fehlen des Auffangbehälters kürzer und damit wendiger.

Je ne sais pas si cet accessoire est vraiment indispensable mais en tout cas il fait bien ce qu'il est censé faire !

Buon prodotto per eseguire il mulching.. Unica pecca la chiusura un po lasca ovviamente con l'utilizzo di 2 mollette per il bucato.. Imballo e spedizioni come sempre ottimi
