Durable Patina Finish That Really Pops
I’ve been experimenting with gilding waxes on small home décor projects, and this one worked really well. The paste has a nice, workable consistency, dries quickly, and is easy to control—even for someone with little experience. The patina finish adds great depth to textured or raised areas, and once it sets, it’s durable and doesn’t rub off easily. A small amount goes a long way, making it a great value for the size. I’ve used it on decorative accents and hardware, and it has held up nicely with normal handling. Check out the pictures of the first frame I did—I feel like I did pretty well for someone with no artistic skills. This product really is that easy to use, and I’d definitely use it again.

Beautiful color wax
Baroque Art Gilders Paste 1.5 Ounces-Patina I just love this wax. The color is so beautiful .. it arrived harder than I expected so after the top layer is broken thru then I just used more force to get to the softer waxier part of the can. Does the trick.. used on the gesso part of an old picture frame. First I used the copper wax that Baroque Art Gilders Paste offered and then made it look aged with the patina colored paste. A little goes a long way. So try very little on your finger to get into the groves or whatever you are using it on. Will purchase again if necessary but I think this will last a very very long time.

The Gilders Paste Wax Is exactly what I needed. Shipped in a timely fashion. Arrived fresh in new packaging.

Not 1.5 ounces any more, unless you happen to get an old one. It is now 1 oz and should be priced accordingly imo (33% less). Other than that, seems to work well so far. "Knife in" paint thinner if it dries out (only for as much as you're going to use). I also agree the twist design can is difficult to get open, at least initially.

Great product
Very easy to use (albeit messy), and so versatile. I watched several YouTube videos to get the hang of using it with polymer clay, but it's not hard to use.

Better than expected
The reviews were mixed so I set my expectations accordingly and I have to say that this is much better than expected. It is beautiful. I love it.

Pretty color, but broke up into little pieces
I've only used this a couple times, and it's already split up into little pieces. I think this stuff is too dry, despite the fact that I kept it sealed in double ziplock plastic bags.
