Habitrail Playground Syrian Hamster Cage Home System

Bought as an add on to an old habitrail system as water bottle was missing, great extra space for Syrian hamster 🐹 would not be sufficient on its own but is fab. Easier access than the pods too.

So small I chucked it in the bin. Couldn’t bare to think of any hamster living in this. Even if it’s part of a bigger complex, there’s not a lot too it. It was hard to put together and flimsy, particularly the door. I moved away from Ovo as my hamster wasn’t particularly keen on the tubes but I sold the other components as a bundle. I was was worried this might be used on its own so decided to just get rid of it and count my losses. All the Ovo houses are really too small for a Syrian but I’ve learned that he expensive way.

For starts, this cage isn't suitable for use on its own as a hamster enclosure, but when combined with other habitrail products, it works well. Be warned, I bought this and my hamster has took to biting the wires CONSTANTLY and no wooden chews or lime juice will stop her. It makes the most irritating noise.

My kids asked for a pet hamster a few months back and I bought one of the new Habitrail Ovo Studio cages at the local pet store when we picked up the hamster. The cage seemed well designed, however the wheel takes up probably 50% of the area of the main cage and even with the little "pods", she just didn't have enough space. Also, the water bottle design is rubbish and drips constantly which the hamster then using the puddle as a toilet which resulted in dripping urine everywhere... We bought this as an extension unit and the hamster's been much happier ever since. The cage itself comes "flat-packed" and feels a bit flimsey but has withstood numerous attempts by the hamster to escape over the last couple of months. It came with an "old school" ball bearing type water bottle which we now use in place of the leaky Ovo one though the dish that came with the Playground is too small to be of use for anything other than a dwarf hamster. The result is now a combination of the Ovo for her nest, exercise (the wheel) and food store and the Playground for everything else which is where she spends her waking time. Overall, given the cost, I would say this is a good basic cage but one it's own it will not be enough for a large Syrian, you'll still need a couple of other cages or small pods to give them a place to nest, etc.

This is a nice add on to our habitrail system, but would be too small to use as a stand alone cage for a syrian hamster.

It came broken. So have to sent back.Looks ok but my hamster is too big for it.

une cage pas très encombrante, idéale pour mon hamster nain russe, par contre la roue ne lui plait pas beaucoup et je dois reconnaitre qu'elle ne tourne pas facilement, sinon le reste est parfait, très bon rapport qualité/ prix

Je l'ai recu cassé sur la paroi de l'autre coté de la maison. La roue les hamster comprenais rien. Donc n'en faisais pas. Et puis c'est bien trop petit pour des hamsters, achetez des aquariums vos petites bêtes seront beaucoup mieux !!!

Produit qui correspond au descriptif. Ayant déjà une çage Habitrail mini et Habitrail Retreat j ai été un peu surprise par la qualité du socle, je trouve qui fait beaucoup plus plastique que mes deux autres cages mais cela n alterne en rien au produit.

la cage est tres jolie!à faire monter par un adulte avec prudence et à ne jamais faire tomber il s'agit de plexiglas!mais malgré cela elle est hyper ludique et aménageable à souhait!!!mon fils est sous le charme!!!!
