Works as advertised
I bought this sub to replace a 3000W (1500W RMS) 15" sub that somehow managed to burn its voice coils.. on a 1000w amp. If you want an in-depth review, there are better places for that. This is just a quick summary of my experience. Pros - $323 when I bought it, $360 now. Packaged very well - box within a box. Looks good, appears to be well constructed. Sounds good, hasn't burned yet and I've pushed it as far as my stereo/amp could. Cons - now $360. The 14" cutout did not fit my sub enclosure - I had to grind down my cutout just a bit for it to fit. I think this is on the part of the enclosure, not this sub. I ended up cutting the rubber ring that came around the sub - it was just too thick to fit into the recess of my box. Ended up using just the bottom part of thr ring that sits between the sub and the wood on the enclosure. You need the rubber ring in order to keep air from leaking. I would buy again if the price was $320. At $360, there's a lot of good competition.
