The best camera bag of it's type. Period.
When Jim Domke set out to design a bag he was thinking about working pros, photojournalists mainly, and he delivered. If you want an over-the-shoulder bag and aren't carrying an entire studio around with you, this bag is the ticket. With the standard included insert, it holds two bodies, a 70-200 zoom, my flash, a short medium zoom and a prime ultra-wide, plus spare batteries for everything. In the side pockets go a TTL cord, wireless receiver and more cords. The front pockets for the blower-brush, lens tissue, a small LED flashlight, more batteries, and other knickknacks of the trade. Even without the optional padded shoulder pad, I can carry this bag all day long and it's overall bulk doesn't hamper my movements when I'm working a crowd. Fits in the overheads, under the seat, and has a handy carry strap. Great bag, and nearly indestructible (disregard that if you run over your bag with a car. Oops). As for weatherproofing, I've stood in the driving rain and my equipment has remained dry. Love this bag and highly recommend it. I bought this bag because I just wanted a newer, shiner bag. The first one is now a backup, having lasted nearly twenty years, suffering only coffee stains and some scuffing of the corners. These bags are *tough.*

Great Bag!
This is the original Domke bag, and after almost 40 years they are still one of the best out there. I bought this for day trips and it easily holds my D90 with 10-24mm lens attached, as well as a 35mm f/1.8 lens, a 55-200mm lens, and numerous accessories including an air blaster, spare batteries, sd cards, filters, cloth, lens pen, remote, GPS dongle, etc. I don't even put anything in the side pockets; it's a spacious bag! What I like most about this bag is that while it does have foam inserts, they are easily adjusted and removed, allowing the bag to be packed flat or rolled up into larger luggage. I typically have a larger camera backpack which I travel with on planes, and I prefer to use just this bag when walking about. And lets face it, we're not traveling with cameras made of balsa wood, we don't need bags with 8lbs of padding. This bag has just enough padding to get the job done. The only negative would be that because this bag was designed before the advent of digital cameras, there aren't as many small zippered pockets. There's only one on the inside of the flap. But if you have rolls of film there's tons of room! My solution to this was to get a small pouch in which to put all of my smaller knick knacks like memory cards, hot shoe cover, remote, etc.

Great Bag - I carry it everyday
I have had the F-803 Waxwear Messenger Bag for several years. I love it, but it never had enough room for extra lenses and gear. This bag comfortably holds my Olympus OMD (Micro 4/3)with the battery and grip and a lens with 4 extra lenses in the main compartment. The side pockets are large and secure - they hold batteries, flash units, filters and more. The back has a slide-in pocket that is large enough for my iPad and the front pockets are great for sunglasses and extra gadgets. Basically I carry more than I need on a typical outing in this bag and it's still not too large. I know my gear is smaller than some, but I would think that even with a full size camera you could get 3-4 lenses plus your camera body in this case. This is a great bag for traveling. There is no need to buy extra inserts - the bag comes with a bottom pad and a great insert set up.

best working bag for a pro
This is my third Domke F-2 bag. After almost 30 years of carrying a bag on my right shoulder, I always am amazed at how well this bag works, or should I say how well I work with the bag. I do alot of different types of shooting, sports, news, commercial and I load it up everyday with different lens, flashes, batteries, etc... and it's always ready to access what ever I need. As for the compartments. I have the lens spacer in the middle so I can throw 2 Nikon D3 bodies in on the sides. Kinda snug but I would rather have it tight than loose. I carry 4 lens's. A 80-200, a 10-20, a 17-35 and a 85mm. They fit just snug enough not to worry about falling out while shooting. I use the 2 front pockets for nikon flashes and they fit perfect. The side pockets are great for batteries, cards, or what ever. Inside the flap I store cleaning supplies and some cords. The back pouch carries papers. I even use the pen pockets for a sharpie marker. All in all, this bag was perfectly designed to grab something and keep working without the hassle of taking it off your shoulder. It stays put and forms nicely to your body while not getting bulky. It is a classic shooters bag.

Having used another brand of camera bag since the early '80s I should have tried a Domke years ago. I brought a used Domke F-2 from Amazon Canada Warehouse Deals. As the tags were still on the bag I don't think it was used so much as returned. The only issue was that the tin of refinishing wax was missing. As for the bag, I have found it much more shoulder friendly than the previous brand I used. The soft, flexible canvas means it hugs my hip and doesn't bounce. It also means that you can cram the odd extra item in the main compartment.
