Finally ...it has arrived.
For my hand - this fits. No sore finger from scrolling and the push on the wheel action has just the right amount of give. Other mouses I've used have a hard pushing action that will sore out the arm tendons especially when I'm doing extensive 3D CAD work. Always will use this style of MX mouse. No more changeovers.

Exceptional and hardy
I purchased this mouse with the intent on gaming alone, however, in a matter of days it had gone above and beyond it's original purpose. It's hardy and reliable, having traveled thousands of miles and endured months of use and abuse. The only downfall to this mouse is merely superficial. When I saw the image, I presumed the gray texture on the body was a squishy-grip addition. When I got the mouse, I was disappointed to see that it was just a plastic paint job. However, this hasn't distracted from it's excellent service so far. Nothing is falling apart, nothing has stopped responding; I look forward to gaming with this little fellow for years to come.

and was never anything less than pleased with it
An oldy, but a goody. I ordered this mouse four times, and was never anything less than pleased with it! It has aged a bit, newer mice might have better accuracy/sensitivity if you're into competitive gaming, but still a solid contender all around, and incredibly comfortable. Fits my hand perfectly. If you love the mouse, but are looking for something a little more updated, I would heavily recommend the G400s. The mouse is almost identical in shape, size, and layout, but has more sensitivity settings.

Good mouse
Not as good as the one it replaced, that one was metal. I never cleaned it very well so it finally failed when I did start to clean it. The orignal was a metal one and very well built. This one is a decent replacement.

Works Well
I've had this mouse for over a year.. Still works great. Reads the movements accurately, have the option to speed up or slow down the curser right on the mouse, the only thing I don't like is there is a side button that will take you to the previous page in your Internet browser- very annoying when pressed by accident my husband plays computer shooting games and he loves this mouse

It works well. I expected to get what I saw in the picture, but instead the one has not orange parts, but instead has grey parts. Still works well.

£150 - £250 WHAT A RIP OFF
I bought my original MX518 about 6 years ago, probably the best gaming mouse ever for First person shooters. which I would have rated at 5 Star for a £25 mouseThe feel of the mouse, the way the side buttons were so easy to use, it lasted about 5 years until the wire going into mouse broke, tried to effect a repair, but designed in such a way , it was becoming a nightmare, so I gave up.Thought It would be just as easy to go and buy a new one, seeing as the one I bought originally was only about £25, but to my shock they are not making them any more, the only people selling them are ones that have old stock, and trying to scam between £150 - £250 out of people. Hence the 1 star which is my value for money rating for the ones they are trying to sell now

Simply the best - 10 years and still going strong
I just realised that this legendary piece of equipment has been in my possession for nearly 10 years now. I have never once had an issue with it all this time. I replaced the skin and that's about it.The accuracy is on point, it's amazing for gaming and for doing office work. The MX518 was ahead of its time and Logitech created something that still holds against others. Although I wouldn't know that of course because I never needed to buy another mouse.I have grown so attached to its comforts - the ergonomics are unlike any other I experienced over the years at other PCs - that a few years ago I started to worry: what if it just dies! Nothing can replace it!I was looking at a replacement MX518 and for many years it was out of production. The occasional private seller - knowing its worth - charged ridiculous prices. Then finally in April 2020 I came across an 'updated' version of it and I was willing to pay £60 to have this magical thing sitting in my cupboard. And that's where the new version has been sitting since. Another 7 months later and the old MX518 still works perfectly Some regular maintenance (aka picking out the dust) keeps it nice and clean and available for hopefully many more years still.

I'll show my ARSE on the town hall steps
These MX518 mice have to be one of the best mice ever! We've had Death Adders and many others and the MX beats them all.I still have two, unfortunately they are both now faulty through much use and abuse. The wire starts to break internally where it enters the mouse body eventually.Don't get me wrong, it took a few good years of use to get them to that point though. No doubt an eventual problem with all wired mice. When I'm in the mood I will have a go at repairing them both, that means new sliders and USB cable.I'll show my arse on the town hall steps before I pay £145 quid for an MX 518, which is what they're now going for

Best Mouse I Ever Owned
Bought this years ago, absolutely loved it, comfortable grip fits my hand like a glove, great adjustable dpi. Plug and Play no software install needed, never let me down until the left button started to stick, but that's wear and tear from a gaming mouse that was used extensively every day for 5 years. I replaced it with a new Razer Naga... I want my mx518 back, its superior in most ways, build quality is robust and doesn't feel so plastic like the Razer. The 518 is expensive now as its out of production, so when they are all gone that's it. I would still recommend this to any gamer, its a solid reliable mouse.

Veteran Review
I have used this product daily for 5 years and 9 months. It has never broken. None of the buttons have ever not worked. I used instructions on a website to remove the clicking sound of the buttons so it is nearly silent (very very quiet) at night. Additionally I removed a cog inside that means the scroll wheel is smooth. Opening the mouse requires a small screwdriver. The mouse works fine on my pine veneer desk without a mousemat. Because I don't use one, grime slowly collects on the bottom in small patches. It does not affect the mouse in any way. I scrape them off every 6 months which takes about 5 seconds. My estimate of the length of the cable is about 2 metres. I'm not going to get a ruler out. When my USB port was on the desk, I used a cable tie to keep the mouse cable tidy.
