Stop Killing Orchids!: A Beginner's Guide On Orchid Care

I enjoyed the way the book was written, and it made caring for my first orchid easier than I expected.

I enjoyed the fact that this book offered a brief introduction to orchids history and some useful pointers to better care for them. However, it certainly lacked adequate explanation. For instance , I still don't know what involves in pruning an orchids. I understand that the author did not want to pay copyright fee for the diagram of orchids reproductive anatomy but not having the picture led me to spend quite some time looking for one, which I was disappointed to find not so easy due to paucity of simple diagram and due to the vast variety of orchids shapes/ species. Overall I can't complain since I downloaded this for free. But if the author is seeking better success, I recommend using pictures and slightly more detailed description on the areas that are beyond the general understanding of caring for orchids provided as a small plant info in each pot.

Some good basic information, but so many negatives: poor grammar, typos, repetitious information, occasional mysterious, unexplained advice, such as "After you've pollinated the orchid, be sure to let the seed pod mature and send it off to be flasked." ???? Whole book would would have benefitted from major proofreading before publishing!

Reading this book has about convinced me that raising orchids is too difficult for me. Maybe 🤔 I should raise dandelions😬.Actually it is relatively easy to read. There is one error that I found a little distracting. For some reason, there are no letter “Q’s.” Wherever one belongs, there is a tiny square▫️. Probably this printing should be sold as distressed merchandise.

I think this is just what I needed.

Not very informative

I hope everyone buys this book before getting an orchard as I bought the plant first then the book bad mistake

This is more a PAMPHLET than a Paperback book, Its about 5mm thick and its not glossy. There is not a single picture or illustration and more suitable to a Pound Shop at the very most!!!

This book is leaflet it’s like a 2 year old wrote it don’t bye it
