This is a great item great value for money ! my old one gave up what a plumber gave me wouldnt be without one off these now ! My old head had worn out on my old one so had to just unscrew then screw new one so easy even i could do it ! the new one went back on well easy i really recommended to have a spare incase blockage & no new replacement to avaoid Emergencies ! Not a lot you can say about this, it works and appears durable only time will tell.

I ordered this at the same time as a Silverline Drain Rod Jointed Scraper 4 inch and the first thing I noticed is that it didn't screw onto my drain rods as easily as the Silverline did and I had to try several rods before I got on that screwed on fully. I was needing to clean my gutters and wanted to push the debris away from me, and I worked really well for doing this and I could add more rods as I pushed away from me. I also really liked that the screwed end to join the rods is removable and have made up a few extra smaller rubber plungers to help clear smaller pipes. So this works but be aware that the internal thread is a little awkward and didn't fit all of my rodding canes (unlike the Silverline which did).

Better quality than the one that came with the rods

Works well and cleared drain, although beware the blue plastic washer becomes brittle after a year so so you risk losing plunger in the drain. Purchased as I needed next day but the newer sealed/fixed type is a much better design.

This plunger is thick rubber and ideal for getting a good pressure as you push along a drain. I'd definitely buy it again! Mine had a red plastic top on it (see photos), whereas the one in the Amazon product photo is blue. It doesn't seem to make any difference though. Helpful Hints: 1. Buy this and other drain rod attachments, plus thick long rubber gloves and throwaway overalls. You need the full kit for a drain clearing job. 2. Buy this kit now. Don't wait until your drains have blocked because that is too late. 3. If you've already got drain rods, try to establish whether the thread on your rods is the same as the thread of the attachment, otherwise you won't get a good fit. Threads for rods and attachments come in different sizes. 4. Obviously, when pushing the rods into the drain and later pulling them out, only turn the rods in one direction. This keeps the threaded joints tightly together and stops them from unscrewing. The last thing you want is to leave half your kit unscrewed and stuck in the drain! Hope this helps :).

I lent my rods to a friend who lost the original, this was a bit costly compared to the full kit purchase price, but at least my rods are complete again. Post was prompt, as usual with Amazon.
