Received in brand new perfect condition. Wow I’ve never had to work with anything larger then10 gauge wire. My vhf amplifier for 2- meters uses 8 gauge wire. I needed some added protection. So I to put inline fuses. One on each in. Plus and negative sides to my power supply. Man these fuse holders are on steroids and the Maxi fuses are huge too. Very well built product. If this is something you need look know further. These babies are something else. I’m not that easily impressed! But what a fuse holders. Heavy duty all the way! I highly recommend big time! 73

I bought this fuse holder primarily due to its 8 gauge wire. All of my power supply cables at the front of our trailer use that size. The fuse holder is enormous, not to mention the Maxi-Fuses that fit the holder. In fact, it is near impossible to insert the fuse to its full depth without bending the prongs on the fuse. All in all, it is a great product and arrived promptly.

I chose this type fuse holder for several reasons. 1. It works well for my application in that my stereo system installation has to work with the existing electric OEM capacity of my car. This fuse holder does this well. 2. Easily available replacement fuses from any auto parts store. Not an a special item. 3. Being the purpose is to provide circuit protection to prevent fires in any and all circumstances. If your involved in a car accident a fuse holder made of hard plastic would likely bust upon impact. This would leave uninsulated wires of large size able to short out against the sheet metal of the vehicle. Possible explosion from the battery and fire 🔥 while you're still in the car waiting for help; possibly injured from the accident. Getting burned alive isn't satisfactory end result performance from a fuse holder. These fuse holders are of a not so hard plyable plastic that isn't so likely to break or shatter in and accident. Remember choice's have concequences. Think about a products end use and all potential problems. It's a good safe choice for the job I have for it to do.

Good quality, the only issue is that the fuses are so hard to get in that I bent 3 of them before finally getting one in the holder.

These were exactly what I needed for my project. It was easy to crimp terminals on the ends of the wire and the cover snaps on firmly even with a fuse installed. It was a little tight to push in a fuse (I'm not sure if the legs on the fuse were soft or the terminal receptacles were just too tight), but being careful worked and all is good.

The fuse itself is fine but this seller advertises 8 awg, which is what i needed and bought but that’s not what I received I stripped the wire to crimp it to a terminal, it looked a little smaller than expected and unfortunately its 10 awg wire contrary to what is advertised The maxi fuses are hard to slide in and retrieve as its a tight fit, but thats fine thats what you want
