SPARC Premium Dual Argon Regulator for TIG/MIG Welding

First let me say this company has exceptional customer service. I had a problem with one meter having the US measurements turned to the back and was showing the LPM to the front. After contacting the seller, they immediately, like within two minutes of me sending them an email, responded with a solution and how to resolve my problem. 5 STAR Customer Service. The Dual Output Argon MIG TIG Flow Meter is really as heavily constructed as the $200 models and works without issues. I have been using it for about 2 months now and have not had any issues with this unit. I am getting ready to expand again, so will purchase the single on my next purchase from the same seller. I would definitely recommend to anybody who wants a quality dual output flow meter and is not concerned about the Name Brand prestige.

Not only is this a great regulator at an equally great price but the customer service I received went well above any expectations.

When you adjust the regulator the flow rate changes greatly as you let go of the adjuster. So it is definitely a cheap unit, but it can be adjusted down to about 15-12cfm pretty easily. Much below that is not really achievable. Above is great. Would definitely rec. for someone who keeps a budget in mind and is willing to work with a product that may need a little more finesse to use..

Bought this for back purging stainless fittings. Works just fine, especially for the price. No leaks! Photo is after sitting for a couple days with the tank off and the flow valves closed. It's held pressure without dropping at all. Flow rates measured at the nozzle/cup were significantly higher (~40%) than what I get out of my other regulators at the same settings, but pretty easy to tune in as long as you have a baseline to use as a metric or a flow meter for your cup/nozzle.

I am happy with the quality of the manufacturing and finish of the flow meter. It has been working well so far. I haven’t done any back purging with the secondary flow meter yet but if it performs like the primary I use for the welder there shouldn’t be a problem. The price of it was right in line with others I priced at the time. The only thing I’d like different is that the flow gauges were glass instead of plastic.

There are many 5 star reviews of this product and that is sadly not my experience. In hindsight I would have purchased 2 separate single outlet flow control units and a high pressure adapter so both would fit onto 1 tank. I am using this for Tig welding stainless with backside purging. Issues: 1) one of the adjustment knobs was not installed on the shaft correctly which should have been obvious to whomever did the sub-assembly and also to the person which did final assembly. 2) adjustments for the gas flow meter valves are very touchy assuming you are in the reasonable range for Tig work. 3) one regulator goes from tank pressure down to 50 psi which feeds both needle valves and flow meters - the 2 needle valves/flow rates should be independent - if you adjust 1 needle valve the other side's flow rate would ideally not move much - when your pre-flow starts or post-flow stops; the backside purge flow should also stay constant - there is large movement of the balls in this product when the flow rate on the other side changes. The good: Good packaging All parts were present No gas leaks were found and the matting machined surfaces look clean and well made. This unit is better (easier to use) than installing a cheaper low side Y with dual needle valves but not by as much as I expected.
