Combine this with a Wave XLR or similar XLR interface for supreme audio. Excellent sound and versatility. Can be loud or as quiet as you like with a good interface. It's not the prettiest microphone you can buy, but I'd say it's the absolute best in its price range. I actually prefer this mic to the much more expensive Shure SM7B.

After a journey of trying out multiple microphones over the past couple of years, you will never find a microphone that does its job better than the RODE NT1 5th Generation. In addition to it's USB and XLR versatility, not much is needed to make it sound great! Most microphones at higher price brackets are known to have their weaknesses, typically being a weak high-end which makes the sound muddy, but thanks to the frequency response, you only need to tame the 5th editions' by a couple of decibels to flatten the sound for greater accuracy... While the SM6 shock mount that came with could be better (mine's pop-filter was built slightly off-axis, which makes tilting a little difficult), the amount of kit you are getting with the price is a no-brainer; All that's left is a stand, which is easy to come by... Especially if you're starting off, the RODE NT1 5th Generation is by far the most reliable condenser you can get your hands on, coming from someone who isn't a professional by any means but who is inspired to get into media creation...

amazing sound quality

This is a beautiful sounding microphone and I use it daily for my Radio/podcast shows as I like the sound of it so much, it is also unique in that you can also instead of connecting to and XLR socket you can connect it to a USB-C socket too. A double winner and make it extremely versatile also! It comes with a couple of excellent mad cables, one USB-C and one XLR also a SM6 shock mount which is also excellent and works brilliantly! I can highly recommend this to buy if you are in the market for such a microphone. DJ Steve

I use this for recording voice overs for my content creation. I pair it with my mobile phone and the sound quality is amazing when listened back to. It blocks out the back ground noise and is as smooth as anything. For a home recording set up and relatively low purchase price it does a fantastic job.

This mic is absolutely incredible! The sound quality is crystal clear, and it captures vocals beautifully. Perfect for recording, streaming, or voiceovers. RØDE never disappoints—highly recommend!

I purchesed this product and found that whaen i used it my voice faded in so i contacted the Rode technical department and was told that it was a fault with the microphone and to send it back. Before I sent it back my son had a look and after doing some diging found that it was a commen fault and that it was easely fixable. He went into the Rode site and found what he neded and did indead fix it. surly the technical guy should have known this and been able to help me so im not impressed with the service but the mic is great

Very good microphone… sounds very clear

Love this microphone. I was kinda nervous buying a microphone again at this price since the last mic I had got that I thought was expensive was a dud, talking to you Jlab pro talk or whatever it was called, but this mic blew me away with how crystal clear it sound. very sensitive, this thing can hear a mouse fart, but for my studio vocal recording for my novel I cant think of anything I could want more than this. I also use it in USB mode which I have found no down fall to that at all. the durability is definitely something, it feels heavy and premium and sturdy for real. I get giddy everytime I get to use it bc I like to own nice things and this is definitely one of the nicest pro pieces of equipment I own. The setup was easy for my M4 Max mac studio and the functionality of everything was definitely plug and play. please buy this mic you will not regret it.

Här kommer min recension på RØDE NT1 5th Gen. MIC Kom i en stor låda med Mic och tillbehör. En av dessa band som håller Mic gick sönder men jag fick efter kontakt med deras samarbetspartner 2st ersättare snabbt med DHL. MIC är av utmärkt kvalité. Gör en hel del inspelningar i min studio och ljudexperterna som granskar mina ljudklipp säger att det är en bra premium MIC. Har redan jobbat med denna i timmar och har inget att anmärka på. På bilderna syns min workaround på bandbekymmer som jag löst med gummisnoddar. Men att bandet är av mindre bra kvalité ska inte påverka MIC betyget. Det är en fantastisk bra MIC. Rekommenderas varmt!

This is not the first time I bought a Warehouse Deal but the Quality Control should have been better. 'Like New' does not mean a hole in the pop filter! Disappointing experience this time around. However, everything else in the box is undamaged and works without issues. What a great microphone! So, I decided to keep the product and ask Røde if I could get a replacement. Contacted Customer Service in Australia and got a response within a day with contact information for the distributor in my country to have the filter replaced under warranty. In a few days a new pop filter arrived at no cost. Sorted now and fair to say: Røde does not only have excellent products but their customer service is great too! Something that is quite rare these days.

Mi ha piacevolmente colpito. Non sulla testa ma alle orecchie. Usavo da anni un Rode Broadcaster ma questo NT1 A 5th generazione ha un bellissimo suono. La cosa più sorprendente è stata scoprire l'assenza di rumore di fondo. Usato in abbinamento a una Focusrite 2i2 4th generazione (in una cabina insonorizzata, ovviamente), il plugin noise Gate/expander non è più necessario. Il rumore di fondo generato dal microfono è praticamente impercettibile. Testato anche collegato con usbc per la modalità 32bit flow con Logic Pro X ed è sorprendente non dover pensare più alla regolazione dei volumi (laddove devi registrare un monologo o una canzone con grandi sbalzi di volume). In post produzione, ovviamente, dovrai occuparti di regolare i volumi adeguati con le automazioni del gain. Unico neo, ma probabilmente è da attribuire al mio hub usb al quale ho collegato il microfono, si percepisce un rumore di fondo digitale. A conti fatti, quindi, il collegamento con XRL e Focusrite è imbattibile. Suono caldo, profondo ma anche brillante (stile Rode). Probabilmente, visto che dovrebbero montare la stessa identica capsula) conviene prendere il modello senza usbc (se pensate di non usare quella funzione): costa molto meno e al villaggio dei Puffi dicono sia silenzioso uguale.
