Restoring order without needing attention
Rat poison… okay… this is one of those situations where things get out of balance. Completely out of balance. And you feel it. Before using this, it was… overwhelming. Rats everywhere. Movement, noise, disruption—it felt like the system had been taken over. Like something invasive had just… spread without control. And that’s not how it’s supposed to be. So bringing something in to restore balance—it matters. And that’s what this does. You place it carefully, strategically, and then… things start to change. Quietly at first. You don’t see it immediately, but you feel the difference. Less movement. Less noise. The space starts returning to what it should be. And I think that’s the key—it’s not about aggression, it’s about correction. Bringing things back into alignment. Removing what shouldn’t be there so the rest of the environment can function properly again. It works in the background. You’re not constantly interacting with it. It’s just… there, doing its job, restoring order without needing attention every second. And honestly, when you’ve experienced that level of infestation—when things feel out of control—and then you see it settle back down… there’s a real sense of relief. Like the environment can breathe again. Now of course, it’s something you use responsibly. You place it carefully, keep it away from anything it shouldn’t affect. That’s part of respecting the system too. Overall: effective, controlled, and focused on restoring balance. It takes a situation that’s spiralled out and brings it back to something manageable. And when you’ve been overrun… that change feels significant.

Did the job quick enough
Put this down in the garden it was gone the next day. Another day later a very large rat was struggling across the grass and soon died after. Not a quick effect depending on when was eaten but didn’t job for the feral creatures. Easy to attach the the metal bar inside bait station. Good quality and value for somthing that worked. Bright red colour means you can see if anything has been left behind making it safer to remove if needed.

Be prepared to use a lot of if you live near farmland
Our house is adjacent to farmland, and we see a recurring pattern of mouse and then rat infestation every winter (when the mice all disappear, that usually means the rats have arrived!). Recently I've started deploying this poison myself instead of hiring a contractor to do exactly the same thing at £250 a time. And this winter, I've done so proactively rather than waiting for the rodent population to grow. So far (i) many and various rodents have taken it enthusiastically, (ii) there seem to be fewer rodents than usual inside the house (although this is obviously impossible to measure empirically), and (iii) I've seen some dead mice. However, I am concerned at just how much of it we have to use - about 3kg per year at this rate. My hope was that by controlling the population from the outset fewer rodents in total would suffer a miserable death - but I'm not sure if I am achieving my aim.

Highly recommended
This stuff is amazing!!! Neighbour has an infestation and we spotted a few coming through. We laid traps with all kinds of treats in and still they kept coming. Set the bait traps with this poison and the problem was eradicated within the week! The frogs are back to enjoying their rat free pond and garden, and we can safely enjoy the sunshine. This is quick acting and does the job!

Persistence required
Takes a while to get results, but be as persistent as your rat . I was about to give up, when i got the no show on my trailcam for the first time.

Results within 24 hours...
We have been tormented by a rat in the loft and walls for months on and off, and a couple of weeks back noticed two rats in next doors garden, next too our adjoining fence...so set up two rosheild box traps with this bait inside it (in the hope they were the same rats), within 24 hours you could see the blocks had been gnawed and no rats have been in our loft/walls since. I would say though, that slugs and snails are also attracted to the bait, so to prevent them eating it too, I used slug pellets in the base of the rosheild box so that only rodents were consuming the bait. Great product and going forward will be my first option as a pest resolution if I get any further issues...and we have tried lots over the last few weeks/months.

Works well
Life span after poison appeared to be about 5 mins. Normally I can't find the bodies, as they tend to disappear to die. Have now found and disposed of 2 adult mice in 3 days. They work well
