Very light down jacket. Perfect for layering and as a good option for not super freezing temps. Fit is great. I can layer and still have good movement. Well made. Love it!

This won't take the place of a good winter coat, especially if you live in colder climates (like I work in Alaska), but I've found that it's the perfect down coat for Fall/Spring, windy Scottish cliffsides in the summer time, and mild winter days. In the past I've owned more expensive down coats by brands like REI, Eddie Bauer, Columbia, and Cotopaxi and this coat has performed just as well for a fraction of the price. I wear a medium in most shirts/tops but chose to size up to a large for this coat so that I could wear layers underneath and I think that was a fantastic decision. I love that it's warm and that it can pack down easily for travel (it comes with a stuff bag but I don't usually use it). The color is really pretty in real life and I like that the logo, while still on the front of the jacket, is almost impossible to see unless you know what you're looking for because it's so light. I've been wearing this coat since last summer and I've taken it on multiple trips and to different climates and it's showing no wear and has no tears. I would definitely buy it again. There's no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a name brand coat.

I purchased this jacket for a winter birding trip in New Mexico. The navy colored jacket is a dark navy which initially appeared almost black. I verified that it was indeed navy by comparison with a black item. This jacket, with layers worn underneath, would keep me comfortable in 35-40 degree weather. Everyone is different in their cold tolerance so other purchasers may disagree with that temperature range. The hood is not lined and doesn’t tie and would be ineffective in windy weather. I usually wear a wool cap anyway so the hood isn’t an issue for me. The real bonus is the jacket’s small packing footprint when placed in the packing bag. I successfully squished it into the bag and closed it. This is best accomplished by gradually stuffing the jacket bit by bit into the bag. I had no success packing it when I tried to neatly roll the jacket and then place it in the bag. It takes up very little space and weighs next to nothing. I wear size 10 to 12 and the large was a little big. Being active outdoors and planning on wearing layers, the large will be perfect. I already own a heavier down parka that’s rated to below freezing weather. It is longer and bulkier and though warmer, I wanted to limit my luggage weight. This jacket is a perfect compromise for everything I needed. The price is quite reasonable too. If it’s blustery cold, I wouldn’t want to stay outdoors forever anyway. So, for everyday activities, this should suffice without layers underneath and you may wish to size down. The size chart is accurate. I ordered a large size intentionally though the chart recommended a size medium. I took off 1 star for the thin and impractical hood that’s not detachable as well as a bit of disappointment in the dark navy color. However, the item was accurately described and other than the color, I was aware of these things when I ordered the jacket. Overall, quite pleased with my purchase and what I needed for my trip.

Love this jacket! I took it to France during January and it packs down into a tiny sack (not included in purchase), is light but warm and the hood was a lifesaver when it rained a bit. It's soft, pretty much waterproof, slim fitting/slightly longer so it doesn't look overly bulky in pics and is flattering.

Love this coat, it is light, easy to pack and really warm. Hip length. Excellent quality for the price. Comparable to other name brand coats of similar style.

Yes it's warm; but it's Short! Was aware of the length when ordering, but was unable to find a longer style, in DOWN FILLING! (Winter winds can be brutally cold; need more covering.) Plus: the inside looks like aluminum foil---not a good thing!! Which makes it look Cheaply made! Plus: NOT MADE IN USA🫤

We have harsh winters where I live, I have a heavy duty coat but needed something for when its cold and that would travel better than my parka. This held up surprisingly well with 35 degree temps and layers. Without layers I would say 40s is the sweet spot for this to still keep you warm. The fact that it is so light makes packing it to travel very easy. I tried packing it back in its sack twice, with some serious effort it is doable, however I found just jamming it in the bottom of my bag easier.

i bought it for hiking ans thought it is water proof but when it was raining it didn't protect me it was so wet from inside also.
