Honestly this is my no 1 option for my tupperdor because of how easy it is and it works by itself. Just place one boveda pack in there and it keeps the humidity level at 69% happy days

It saves time and hassle and, most importantly, does the job. There are cheaper brands but I think it is worth spending a little extra if you have some valuable cigars in the humidor :)

I use 3 or 4 60g packs in my desktop humidor and a 320g pack in each of my coolers. They work exactly as advertised and hold humidity absolutely steady with only a +/- of 1% at any given time. I do still use digital hygrometers to monitor things because it's just common sense to do so, but these packs are entirely trustworthy (in my experience) to be left alone without one if that was an individual's personal choice. There's a seemingly constant debate about "recharging" them but for me, recharging is a non starter. Given that these packs are relatively inexpensive when their cost/lifespan ratio is set against the size of the investment they're protecting, why would you mess about recharging them and take even the smallest of risks?! I'm all for being financially prudent but if I was that concerned I'd stop buying the cigars before I even thought about trying to save the relative small change that I weigh out for Boveda packs each year.

I have a homemade plastic humidor and these are perfect to protect my havana cigars. Remember they do run out or at least become less efficient over time, usually around 3 months so they need changing. Obviously they have many other uses but I have always found them ideal for my needs and very trustworthy.
