4711 Original Eau De Cologne 50 ml

Treated myself to this famous Cologne as I have lovely memories of it. It arrived well packed and the 4711 box is very sturdy and well wrapped. The scent is as glorious as I remembered it and it is truly coming into its own in this excessive heatwave we are having, so I am very happy. It was definitely a good buy and is value for money especially as I brought the large bottle.

Although this cologne says it's for women, I get it for my husband and he smells gorgeous! It's fresh and vibrant - yet subtle with that beautiful Eau de Cologne aroma. Useful travel size bottle too.

Second time I got a 400ml bottle of this stuff as I went though one last year ; was as expected the standard usual citrusy scent so no surprises there ; good value for money for the price I got it (£22.42 for 400ml) Product mischaracterised as ‘for women’; it’s not gender specific like some of the other 4711 offerings ; if anything eaux de cologne are standard at barber shops etc

Firstly, the reviews here are cracking me up. It’s seemingly a love it or hate it scent. Many people have a nostalgic draw to this scent. Their grandparents may have passed down the love for it. Many used it medicinally on hot days across the forehead & temples, or splashed it on handkerchiefs. From Germany to far reaches of Asia, many people have a history with 4711. I read about this and just had to try out one of the world’s oldest scents that’s still in existence. It has neroli in it, and I adore neroli, so I thought I couldn’t go wrong, and I didn’t. It smells so clean & fresh. Neroli, citrus, bergamot, hints of lavender. Completely unisex, for men & women. But hear me out… this is a must for summertime. Do yourself a favor and buy two travel perfume spray bottles. Keep one in your bag & keep the other in the fridge to spray yourself after a hot walk or some gardening. Even if not chilled, this will refresh you. It’s the only scent I’d dare put on my face, even. It’s light. It lingers. It will only last a half hour at full strength, so if you want a continuous, more in your face scent, you’ll have to reapply. My only regret is not trying this sooner and not buying the biggest bottle available. It comes in a pretty old school bottle & it’s a splash, not a spray, so you’ll definitely need portable bottles to get a spray effect. Absolutely love it & will always keep this around for summertime. Makes an effective pillow and linen spray as well.
