Ring Automotive RCT460 12S Smartcon Split Charge/Combination Relay

Wasn't sure what to go for, the full Power Management System or a Split Charge Relay. Decided on this as a trial, but, despite reading concerns and disastrous tales about these; I none-the-less went ahead, I am pleased to say it works well, my leisure battery charges as intended and the bonus of having a second positive (intended for fridge) is a bonus, I use it to run the driving lights and the USB charger in the rear. I did check and double checked the connections before turning the key, just incase!

Unit burnt out almost straight away as nothing written instructing that you have to preset the unit first, very disappointed would not waste money on another

I think it needs a weather proof enclosure which a standard switch box with blank cover provides.

So far it has done everything I would ask of my SLR's, without the need to change film or lenses, or the weight of carrying them about. Only problem. battery retainer opens easily, at the wrong time.

No protege porque no discrimina cuando la batería esta recibiendo carga del alternador. Parece que la sensibilidad a los 13,5V no es efectiva y se confunde con batería cargada ya.
