This is a super cool piece for the Schleich collector!

The figurines are nice and solid. I am particularly happy with my gorilla and my minotaur. I am also amused by my arthropod, though not enough to want three of the same. The rest of my set was disappointing - a series of walls with eyes embedded into them. It brought me back to my childhood, to the rage of having drawn a dud character when choosing a blind bag. 10/10 for nostalgia. I envy the other person on here who got two of the golden chase characters in one order. Did you see how much those go for on eBay? Way more than I paid for these facewalls!

Neat little figures. Not much too them, and I feel like they should cost MUCH less, but I like the design of them.

I had never heard of this brand of toys/characters, but it looks like something my 7-year-old nephew is into, so I grabbed one for him. Upon unboxing, he immediately knew the character and was excited that he was going to be able to have the chance to put it together. He also really enjoyed opening the mini creatures and seeing how interchangeable the head is and how many there are to collect. I did take one star away because it is not overly moveable (only the arms move), but my nephew could truly care less, he just wants to collect each of the characters/heads. My daughter has a large collection of Schleich toys, until now they have been various animals, vehicles, and a few people. We had just recently been looking into their fantasy line as her interest grew so we got this guy and yeah Schleich continues to produce a really good quality product. If this holds up the way her other ones have it'll still look practically new in a couple years.As for this guy; the "blind box" addition was neat (not honestly one of my favorite aspects with toys), but the interchangeable 'heads' have been fun. She cycles them out to reflect emotions or personalities. All the pieces are thick molded pieces. There is real heft to it all which speaks to the quality. It's our first step into the Schleich fantasy but won't be the last.Oh - she also found other ways to 'enhance' the toy with some of her other toys (stuffies) as seen in the picture.

I've always been a fan of Schleich. They may not feature a lot of joints, but who needs that? The pain job is awesome and has depth to the color. The two moving joints, the arms, aren't quite as tight as I'd like but they aren't loose. The included weapon is soft flexible plastic so it won't break easily.The robot's driver, the little orange guy, has two holes in the bottom of his feet to attach to two pegs int he cockpit of the machine. This is fairly stiff but once attached he's pretty firmly in there till you want to pull him back out.I did get a repeat creature among the four extras, but since it's random and they're my favorite color anyway I can't really complain.One thing I have notices in the past with Schleich toys is that the pain can rub off with repeated abrasion, but you'll get that with any painted toy.Overall this is a pretty cool (and heavy! Don't throw it at your sister!) toy that, like a lot of Schleich toys, exhibits good, solid quality at its finest.Thanks!

The concept of having a small, physically incapable creature use a larger, powerful shell is appealing for sure. However, the shell of these creatures is not particularly interesting or capable. It is heavy and blocky, without much detail work. The small creature going inside it is boring. Despite the contrast in the occupant and the golem-like shell, each piece on its own is monochromatic and not interesting. As an adult who has not forgotten what it was like to be a kid, I was not very impressed at the execution behind these toys. And my 8 and 9 year old kids acted with limited interest after playing with these for a bit, which is what I expected after seeing them in person. I have purchased other toys from this same manufacturer which were much more detail oriented and interesting.
