Silverline 226168 Heavy Duty Trestle 150 kg

Easy to assemble and very sturdy. I have 11 internal doors to replace so this will be exactly what is required to support the new door and the old one to be used as a template. The other end will be supported by a workbench.

Good value for money. Very well built. Not super sturdy but good enough. Can be a challange to assemble. If you search on Youtube for 'ALDI Multi Purpose Supports - Unboxing, Assembly And Review' there is a very helpful video showing assembly of what is the identical trestle.

Really 4.5 stars but very bad instructions is not enough to take away a whole star. A bit of sideways wobble when standing up on planks, but for this price it is no big issue. Great for occassional use if standing on them, not sure how they would long they would do if you were tradesman though. As a work surface they would last very well I am sure. Legs on mine are differnt colour to pictures, but I prefer the grey colour, so no issue there. ------- TIPS FOR BUILDING THEM ------- step 1 in instruction (see my attached pic 3) shows building the raising bar first - DO NOT DO THIS!! There is a nub at bottom of the upright bars (pic 4) which stops them raising up too high - this also stops you pushing them down into frame when building. Build frame first, then push upright bars up through frame, then bolt on the cross bar at the end. The screws don't match the drawings in instructions - see pic 5 for some help with that. There is a lockbar on the frame to keep the raising bar upright (see pic 6)- The instructions don't make this clear. When bolting the centre crossbar into the frame sides (first job you should do), make sure the locknut (large hexagonal head - as opposed to the screwhead) is on the correct side of the frame i.e. same side as the lockbar.

excellent delivery and quality. instructions are good but one thing to note is the following: the upper cross bar shows it being fixed to the two vertical slide bars then slotted in to each side, this won't work. the two blue triangular side pieces come with the two vertical bars already slotted in place, so don't remove these and just fix the upper cross bar. I removed them to fix the upper bar and couldn't get them back in as they have a nib on them to prevent them pulling out and you can only get them in from underneath without the upper cross bar being fixed. I may not be explaining this particularly well so just remember not to remove the two vertical slider bars from the two blue side pieces in order to fix the upper cross bar. I have found this to be excellent quality and value, which has already come in very handy and saved a lot of messing about trying to support materials. highly recommend.

Ok for the money as well over £130-00 for trade trestle. Comes in a small boxe and relatively easy to assemble. Instructions are a little vague - but setting all the screws and washes out taking your time will result in correct assembly. Once opened up and stays engaged on legs they are pretty stable. Ok for light duty / DIY home use. Good product for light use and for the money as trade quality is over 3 times the price of these.

Good value for a well built, but reasonably priced product. The instructions to assemble were atrocious, but I got there in the end!

A very sturdy trestle that is well designed and represents very good value. The first one was somewhat fiddly to put together as the instructions are rather poor. The second one was put together in half the time having learned from my mistakes! So why only 3 stars? The answer is simple. I wanted the trestles (I ordered two) to give me elevation for house painting. I carefully checked the recommended maximum load and all was ok. However, on the trestles is a label saying DO NOT STAND ON. The product description that appears on Amazon is deficient as it should define the limitations of use. I wonder how many people have ordered these trestles in order to paint their ceilings etc only to find them not suitable.

These trestles seemed to get mixed reviews but I think they're a bit of a bargain and I was very pleased with them once assembled. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble the first one & about 10 for the second. I also didn't use the instructions but blew the picture up on amazon so I could see where everything goes. The guy showing some problems in the other pictures has assembled them wrong. I didn't tighten all the fixings until fully assembled. I can't see that there's anything wrong with the fixings but you will need some thread lock to stop them from coming undone over time. They are now happily holding up some heavy solid wood doors whilst I prep them.

Está bastante bien fabricado, buen caballete para el precio que tiene. En mi caso tenía algunas cosas como una tuerca con la rosca mal hecha, alguna pieza con exceso de pintura que tube que quitar para que encajara...pero bueno, como digo, pal precio pasable. Son desmontables, osea todo va sujeto con tornillos, de hecho vienen semidesmontados en una caja pequeña. Aunque al montarlos quedan muy bien, firmes y sin olguras, con el uso claro aparecerán y porsupuesto al ser desmontables no son aptos para trabajar encima de ellos como plataforma, aguantarán seguro 150 kilos como dice el fabricante, pero de peso encima de ellos sin moverse, no balanceandose de un lado a otro. Buen caballete para uso no intensivo y cuidandolos a un precio muy bueno. Respecto al comentario de las tuercas autoblocantes, si se quieren cambiar perfecto pero no sirve para nada. Estas tuercas se usan para que piezas con vibraciones y movimiento no se aflojen, o como en este caso, las pocas que lleva son para fijar un tornillo sin apretarlo del todo y que la pieza pueda moverse. Lo que cede en estos caballetes son los tubulares o cuadradillos, obligando a repretar los tornillos con el uso si se fuerzan, con las tuercas autoblocantes esta tarea no desaparece. Enved de eso, lo que si le iría bien son arandelas grower o de presión, alargarán el repretado de las tuercas.

Ich muss sagen ich war vor der Bestellung etwas skeptisch, da es keine Bewertungen gab. Habe gleich 2 Böcke bestellt und wurde auch wie immer schnell, aber in einem riesigen Paket geliefert. Man muss Sie selber zusammen schrauben, wofür ich etwa eine halbe Stunde gebraucht habe. Ist aber nicht kompliziert und macht Spaß! Die Böcke machen für mich einen sehr soliden Eindruck. Das Zusammenklappen geht etwas schwerer aber dafür sind Sie robust und man kann ruhigen Gewissens auch schwere Bohlen etc. drauf legen. Die Höhenverstellung funktioniert auch und ist mit Sicherung. Und für den Preis echt top!

Lamiere di discreto spessore...il banchetto rimane ben piazzato. Buono!
