Oster Fondue Pot, 3-Qt, Eggshell/Red

I just bought a red and black fondue pot-one for cheese and one for chocolate. We usually cook meatballs and dip in the cheese fondue and don't do oil. I tested them both at the same time. After a short time both quit working. Apparently 20 amps is the maximum the circuit breaker could handle and there are already some lights on it. So if using 2 simultaneously I need to use different circuits. The pots heat up really fast and I actually didn't go above WARM. 200 was just too hot for the 1/2 of a per-packaged fondue mix I was using for checking out the two pots. The ceramic is wonderful! I just got a lot of silicone utensils for Christmas - so could stir without scratching (could use a wooden spoon as well). The fondue forks could scratch, so would have to warn users to not stab the bottom. 3 qts is a LOT of fondue, but it does say to not fill more than 2/3rds full. The magnetic part can be pulled off pretty easily, so I was thinking I'd tape the cord in position to prevent any mishap while in use. It is convenient that the pot is immersible. If you only have one and clean it for doing chocolate after doing cheese, you need to check the area for the heating element for water. Make SURE it is thoroughly dry, as the handle is hollow and harbors water droplets underneath. It takes a little effort to dry off that area when hand washing.

This gorgeous red fondue pit cane securely packaged. It has a beige ceramic interior , 8 color marked forks, and a fork rest rim. It looks so appealing, especially filled. Made the easiest & best cheese fondue ever. Clean up a breeze. We enjoyed it immensely . The temp dials work accurately. The only con ernie is that it is nearly impossible not to accidentally scrape the ceramic bottom. Am hoping that won't create issues later with scratches and sticking. So far we are more than happy with this purchase. The recipe booklet is great too!!!

This has been a hit at our house! We have only used it for chocolate so far (but, honestly, that's all I want it for). We packed it and brought it on a ski trip. It was a delicious treat after skiing all day! The recipe included is quick and easy. It only takes a few minutes for it to heat up and be ready to use. The pot was incredibly easy to clean! The only negative about this is the short cord it comes with.

This fondue pot is perfect, for two people anyway. With two people we had enough room that we split 4 skewers each for dinner. I would suggest a bigger size if doing dinner for more. The temperature is easy to control and consistent and it cleans up SO easy! My only negative and the only reason it did not get 5 stars was that the cord to plug it in is LAUGHABLY short. And since the instructions clearly say not to use an extension cord we had to move our table to a nearby outlet. But in reality, no one would ever have an outlet that nearby their kitchen table. Probably could have used an extension cord, but we didn't want to break it.

We decided to purchase this to reduce our expensive Fondue date night habit and now I'm not sure we will ever go back. Aside from the salad, we were able to have a full, three-course dining experience in this one pot and ended up saving $120 in the process. Cleanup is scary easy as the contents simply slide out of the bowl so once we were done with each course, we simply saved the leftovers and cleanup was as simple as a quick wipe-down. Most difficult part was waiting for the oil from the protein course to cool down so we could empty and start desert. The pot heats up quickly and the magnetic safety-release power cord is pretty genius. While we bought this thinking it would only be good for fondues, we plan to use it all winter for chilis, soups, stews, dips, etc. as it is definitely a multi-use pot. Highly recommended.

Loved the color. The kids loved it. I love it. Easy to clean. Can use for Fondue or to keep dips hot for a party. Similar to a crock pot. Works well.

At "low" temperature, it still started my bagna cauda boiling, but it evened out within a couple of minutes, and then I had to adjust the temperature. Don't know why it did that, but it kept it nice and hot regardless. Perfect size for one or just a small family. I wouldn't recommend using the fork rest, though. The rim was just hot enough that the plastic lip could probably begin to warp and melt.

while I bought this pot five years ago, I have used it fewer than six times in the last five years. The five uses went fine and then on Christmas 2024 I had done all the prepping in order to have a nice tempura dinner. Sadly, this pot would not work, no power would come to the electrical cord. I tried several outlets I plugged it in and out many times, but nothing. Fortunately, I had my smaller, more than 45 years old Oster pot that still worked so while it took much longer to eat our Christmas dinner, we were still able to have tempura. I realized I was out of warranty, but I still communicated with Oster, hoping there would be some satisfaction having gotten only five uses out of my pot. They did respond, but it was a negative response and now I have bought a new Cuisinart fondue pot and my fingers are crossed for a successful cooking.
